Naruto vs Sasuke: The Most Iconic Fight in Naruto (Naruto Analysis)

Ойын-сауық

Every Shonen has a particular fight that sticks with you. For many, this was Naruto vs Sasuke. While the fight is superb on its own, there’s numerous reasons as to why the battle became so impactful within the anime and manga community, and why it is still held up to such a high standard to this very day. So, let’s talk about it.

I really love how they dulled the color palate for the N+S fights. It sets a somber, dark, yet hyped tone and keeps you from getting distracted while you track the movements and feel EVERYTHING

Yess exactly! It really works great, especially for the fights later on in Shippuden since that's when the series gets more serious/darker. I love it

One detail is that right before their final clash Sasuke turned his hand into a fist because he would've seriously injured or killed Naruto if he hit him with his claws. He says this in Shippuden as well on how it was his decision in the final moment that let Naruto live.

Amazing analysis! The fight was an absolute masterpiece and a great conclusion to Sasuke Retrieval arc (best arc from part 1 btw) and set up the entire Shippuden storyline perfectly. And even though I prefer the second battle of Naruto vs Sasuke this still was incredible. Keep the great work up!

Another amazing Naruto related video. This was actually what got me into Naruto originally. Back in 2011, my brother had season 5 and 6 of Naruto and after playing a tiny bit of a Naruto game, I decided to give it a shot and it was just around the time Naruto and Sasuke had their fight at the hospital that that took place and I was in love with it so far at that point. But then the Sasuke Retrieval Mission started and I remember being on the edge of my seat the whole time and then the eventual fight between Naruto and Sasuke at the Final Valley happened and it was some of the most intense stuff I’d ever seen. Naruto is what got me into anime to begin with and I’m glad this is what I got to see and it was incredible. All the hand to hand action is incredible and they did a fantastic job making all the hits feel so solid that you feel the impacts every time. But I also just adore how the story and characters shine through immensely as it’s happening you still understand where every character is coming from and you stay invested the whole time and given how you’re so wrapped up in everything, it just makes the already amazing action even better. And the Sasuke Retrieval Mission is still one of my favourite arcs in all of anime and the final fight with Naruto and Sasuke in it just adds a whole other level of amazement. It’s just great to see more people like you talking about it and you did a phenomenal job. I’ve rewatched the fight between them a lot and it’s always so invigorating and amazingly animated.

15:40 THIS. Its the exact same for the Pain vs Naruto/Nine Tales. People have always said the animation was bad and lazy etc (these same people say Naru vs Sasu P1 is the best fight in the series tho ... ) But it so obviously being exaggerated for the sake of demonstrating the Impact and sheer speed and power of the fight.

I think one of my favorite things about this fight, was that it wasn’t happy, it didn’t give you the feeling of a roller coaster if that makes sense? *** Instead you felt sad, you realized that this was a serious battle. It was a genuine brutal fight. *** Especially the ending, your left feeling empty and sad. I mean these two fought when they were 13 and didn’t become friends til they were in their 20s.

Lonely Boy Adventurer made a good analysis of the show without revealing everything. A few month I found out he mangaka continued the manga since 2011 and it got even better. It may take a while to get going since its an 80th anime. It has a sequel that you can watch without even seeing the previous one named Ultimate Muscle. It is about the main protagonists son.

Naruto vs Sasuke holds a lot more weight as a more valuable fight since it has the added help of being built up for a longer period of time as well as centering around the ideologies/themes of the two main characters that the story focuses on the most, in my opinion.
