Well lemme put my own opinion my friend: At first, when the akatsuki was created by Jiraya's students (Konan and Nagato and Yahiko) the real purpos of the akatsuki was to bring peace. But unfortunately Obito who played the role of Madara behind his mask which was technicaly a white Zetsu (the one that obito borrowed when Kakashi killed Rin) killed lots of Nagato's companions just to corrupt that last, then Obito somehow managed to make Nagato go crazy by making Yahiko kill himself when Hanzo the salamender held Konan as an hostage which provoked Nagato's rage, Nagato then went crazy and killed every single one in Hanzo's squad except for Hanzo himself which ended up with Nagato being consumed by rage and hatered making him joining Obito who told him that in order to achieve peace in the world they needed to capture all of the bijuus so Nagato called himself "Pain" and with the powers of his Rinnegan he made 6 bodies of Pain and one of them is Yahiki himself making him the main body of Pain, then Pain (AKA Nagato) and Obito who was playing the role of Madara once again behind his masks (because yes he had many masks, the first one was when he borrowed a white Zetsu and some other masks like the one in Kyuubi's rampage in Konoha etc) AND Konan started gathering the members of the new Akatsuki and then the real purpose became to capture all the bijuus. By the way if you ask me, Obito was a very nice kid and wanted to become a hokage but when he saw Rin getting killed by Kakashi which was literally Madara's plan to make him go crazy and get corrupt (yup kinda like what happened when Nagato went crazy) so that Obito goes back to Madara and vow his life to the idea of capturing all of the bijuus That's all, i hope that i could explain everything in details and that y'all have enjoyed it, and sorry if there are some spoilers for those who didn't finish Naruto and Naruto Shippuden yet😅 No need to thank me haha i just wanted to share my opinion from what i know about the anime, see y'all soon i really hope that y'all understood all of what i said and that my explanation was good ^^

Actually, my statement is false. The people at the studio who made the filler episode for this were basically lazy, and only wanted to show some resemblance between naruto v. sasuke's fight and ashura v. indra's. In Hagoromo's time Ninjutsu techniques weren't invented Or I should say ninjutsu techniques weren't named Ashura's rasengan weren't strong as naruto's , though he did create a variation "multiple rasengan" A big rasengan and inside of it has multiple rasengan Minato somehow "founded" rasengan He named the ninjutsu technique called "Rasengan" thus some people would say he created because he NAMED it Jiraiya learned rasengan from minato for 3 years but it wasn't strong as naruto's Naruto learned rasengan for a week And created multiple types of rasengan. As he grown to be a teenager Konohamaru learned rasengan from naruto while using sexy jutsu simultaneously pretty hardcore....

See, the rasengan is 1 ball of chakra but Ashura's barrier rasengan is 5-6 balls of charka incased in another bigger ball of chakra if you disagree let me explain another way, the massive rasengan or the ultra big ball rasengan is considered a new jutsu even though its just a bigger rasengan

The concept of Rasengan was created by asura The name is given by Minato The same goes the Chidori with Indra And the one who gave name is Kakashi

If you think about it, Madara wasn’t defeated by Black Zetsu. He was turned into Kaguya by him, then after that, Naruto and Sasuke defeated her. Also no one on Kurenai’s team passed bc the villaged was attacked.

no, the indra and ashura thing was a filler, which is also why its not included in the manga, so its not cannon. in addition to that minato still invented it if it wasnt because there was no information about indra and ashura available for anyone, he basically re-invented it if ashura wasnt a filler

There's too many people saying Ashura created Rasengan and I can't reply to all of them so I'm just gonna comment here (Why didn't i think of this earlier than doing it one by one😐) (1) The jutsu Ashura used against Indra isn't Rasengan it's called Amenomihashira(Idk if it's the right spelling but that's near the name I think) (2) Minato spent 3 years to create Rasengan and he based it of by a Tailed Beast Bomb (3) Never did Minato known or heard about this jutsu Yes it might look like Rasengan but it's a different jutsu
