Broken-hearted Girl Not only pain but pressure. At that moment he didn't just realize everyone abandoned Sasuke, Naruto realized everyone turned against his second largest goal in life, to save Sasuke. This is huge. That's like all of my friends and family saying I could never be a author of books.

It would be nice if Boruto had his confidence destroyed, that way he could finally get the motivation of his father. I mean just consider the time he was almost killed by Jugo. You can tell that it broke him just a little bit, but then by time th next episode comes around it's as if Boruto has learned nothing. And it wouldn't be the first time either. When faced with being killed by White Zetsu, we see a slight break in his confidence, but nothing really came out of it because there wasn't a consequence to his actions. And that is also a problem, maybe either him or someone close to him needs to get hurt before he snaps into reality.

Its Naruto's fault. He doesn't talk to his kids or other Ninja about how hard he had it. In the One-Shot he told Sarada that he excelled at everything and that he was a cool kid. If he actually told more and more people about how badly he struggled and how hard he worked, more people would see him for how great he is, not just for being a Kage but being the perfect example of someone who tried their best and never stopped until they achieved their goal. Far more inspiring that someone who claimed to went about things the easy way. Probably why Bolt took short cuts in the first place

Netherwolf6100 it’s not his fault growing up Naruto didn’t have a dad so that’s understandable the way he treats boruto and he’s always busy doing Kage work so he doesn’t have time to tell his kids all these things about his childhood and and the anime is still so early I’m sure he’ll explain it after they pass the Boruto movie since boruto discovers how strong his dad actually is. And he would tell boruto if boruto wasn’t so stubborn and being a little shit and blocking out his dad when the few times Naruto actually tries to talk to him

You know it’s funny. Sakura messed with Naruto’s feelings for her, thinking it would somehow relieve the pain he suffers for her in trying to get Sasuke back, but in the end it only caused him more pain.

When she told him to give up on Sasuke he grew angry with her, and that he wasn’t going after Sasuke just because of the promise He made to Sakura, but he was going after him because he was his friend. And Sakura thought he would fall for her “love confession” towards him but he knew that she loved Sasuke.

What’s so messed up about his breakdown too is that he feels betrayed by everyone he made a promise to, especially Sakura. They agreed together to bring Sasuke back, to fight for him and believe in the goodness inside of him. The fact that she decided to kill Sasuke herself is a betrayal of that promise. Everyone he has ever supported and fought for is trying to stop him from doing the one thing he desperately needs to do for himself. Instead of supporting him, in his eyes they are all trying to stop him from making a mistake. Everything’s he’s sacrificed and no one there to support him. Meanwhile, the idea is to help him stop his obsession with bringing back a traitor who wants to kill Naruto for power. They are trying to protect him, to make up for not being there for him, but in Naruto’s eyes, he’s all alone.

Naruto is by far the strongest character in the entire series. The fact that he was alone when he was just a kid and was treated terribly by the whole village and still didn't snap on any of them. He could of done the same thing Gaara did but even worse. He or in this case Kurama would have wiped out the entire village. Not to mention that he could have also ended up like Sasuke with revenge in his heart but in this case he would have killed everyone. Having to deal with a demon who constantly degraded him and also having to deal with people who hated him and yet not turning evil is what truly makes Naruto special. Naruto is a person who never gave up and never gave in.

Poor boy having a panic attack at knowing his two closest friends, his entire world, are about to die. And he can't do a thing about it.

People don’t understand what Narutos feeling. Everybody except Naruto wants to kill Sasuke , only proving Sasukes point that no one is his friend. Naruto is truly the only one who never gave up on him, and when everyone around you is opposed to you , other people you love against someone else you love , you break . For the first time in his life he didn’t know what to do , and he tried so hard not to give up , because if he gives up , then everything that makes Naruto Naruto is gone.

When I first saw this my heart instantly broke. This strong male lead was always being relied on and he finally broke. It just showed how human he is.

This had gone over my head for the longest time, honestly; the fact that it’s snowing. As far as I can remember, it’s the only time it’s ever snowed in the entirety of Naruto until now. Winter is often used to symbolize death, pain, loneliness and more importantly an end. The same goes for snow. The life, youth and hope of spring dies with winter. That’s what’s happening here. This is probably the closest we’ve seen Naruto to genuinely giving up. When Jiraiya died, Naruto had the support of people close to him to stay standing. When fighting Pain, Naruto had his father. He doesn’t here. It’s absolutely heartbreaking.

Although being a "mainstream anime", I enjoy watching Naruto for moments such as these. One's that show no matter how strong may be physically, that doesn't matter when faced with life. Most main characters deal with sad/horrid pasts or situations and may be affected but then quickly overcome it as a way of showing strength. I like Naruto because despite some of its flaws it helps to depict how hard it can be to deal sometimes. And how you don't just "Get over" things, like his childhood and bullying. Rather, you learn to live with it and then bein to heal overtime. A character who saved the world on many occasions and is considered a rowdy, hyper kid is also human. And instead of arguing, yelling, or agreeing or disagreeing relaxed and level-headed, he collapses from a panic attack. I truly love the writer of this series for that.

Yeha but kishimoto was a terrible writer at times who gave naruto sakura and sasuke inconsistent personalities to different situations showing no depth or growth outside of narutos love for his team Sakuras of sasuke and sasuke for revenge that takes you out of a moment and will make your dislike all 3..naruto never seems to act this way towards hinata for example even though he should after what she's done for him...its bizarre ...sakura breaks his heart he still worships her...hinata saves him vs pain and the the tails twice he ignores her .. in the manga they barely interact ..the anime fixes this a lot thankfully adding dialogue in canon scenes between them showing they have a bond ..its more between the audience and naruto i the manga then him with her..which is why even if kishi wanted their love to happen he hid it a lot..no wonder why many shipped narusaku or sasunaru..they just interact more...its less subtle ..we know he likes her cause he proves it to us like with his vow to win or his speech to neji about disrespecting her when she was trying so hard but he doesnt have these moments with her directly ..okay first off if he can see into someone why can't he tell she likes him ..when she flat out said it to him..why does he need to know she loves him for him to love her back..why does he continue to chase sakura...is it worth it ..does he just give up on her ..why did he like her in the first place and not fall for hinata sooner..its one of many..your supposed to root for him right?..then why is he this oblivious and sorta malicious towards her feelings...like its inconsistent for the hero to be so selfish on 1 hand and get seen as unselfish on the other ..it doesn't work ...he doesn't even try and wins the best girl in the end?..that he didn't deserve...go back to being Sakuras maid ...hinata deserve a suave caring Minato type..

Noel Vert it's moments like these that people enjoy that makes it mainstream. An anime doesn't just become a mainstream anime, a massive amounts of people must watch and enjoy an anime for it to be mainstream, and if that's true, then it's good.

Normally, I hate when people add music to anime clips, but this song fits really well. It made this scene more emotional than the original version.

This scene absolutely hurt my heart, but honestly it's also quite interesting to me because most of the time in anime you see the main character get angry or pissed off, but it feels rare to see such a reaction like this. It really does make you realize that Naruto is just human In this situation there was so much pressure placed on him, and he felt trapped between wanting to remain loyal to his friends and wanting to save Sasuke He couldn't just fight his way out of the situation, he couldn't talk his way out either- he felt so helpless and he just...broke down honestly a really well-done moment in the show

Beautiful music and such horrible thing to see him suffer. All that stress....

Look ill be honest, Narutos love for sasuke is way deeper then the relationship with jiraiya

Panic attack over the possibility of both Sakura and Sasuke dying both dear to him

Boruto:cries and complains about how his dad never comes home Naruto:literally lived with no parents, lived through hell to get sasuke,and still manages to conquer his dreams and still keep himself going even with all the pain he had endured. Boruto should consider the things his father went through as he was growing up. Then maybe having and dad that’s alive would make him more grateful and having a mom that gives his warm hot good meals would make him grateful and at least having a NICE roof over his head would make him grateful. Like damn kid be grateful that you at least had/has all that because your father didn’t have shit back then.

Y’all really can’t compare boruto to naruto rn. He’s still a kid and hasn’t even gotten to where naruto is rn in this scene. Compare and apple to an apple and not an apple to an orange. If u want to compare boruto u have to compare it where it would align in the naruto series. Boruto isn’t even that bad but y’all a such die hard fans of naruto that you refuse to give it chance... By borutos stage in naruto life he didn’t have any parents and sasuke just left the village... until then pleased don’t be so biased. Coming from a manga reader boruto is definitely good, it just hasn’t gotten there yet but they are getting close.

Well the thing is, with Jiraiya, there was a clear foe and a clear goal. With Sasuke, Naruto's breakdown is due to the realization that unlike Jiraiya, Sasuke is still alive and Naruto feels helpless in that so many people are now gunning for him and he can't save him. Also, Jiraiya wasn't necessarily going after Pain with vengeance in his heart, while Sasuke is full of hatred and even if Naruto were to find him before anyone else, he'd still have to try and convince him to give up on his goals. And we all saw how that ended the last time Naruto confronted Sasuke.

Boruto's producers need to realize Naruto always should be the center of the story. Naruto is supposed to be the one to bring peace to the world as he has the gift to change people's hearts. Naruto changed Zabuza, Nagato, 9 Tails, Sasuke and Tobito. Just because he has kids now doesn't mean he's lost his special gift. Fuck I hate Boruto because they're trying to make the kids stronger than Naruto characters and that's impossible to me man.

MewMewSun you're an idiot. Boruto is a interesting protagonist because he's not the cliche shonen protagonist who goes from a underdog to a hero that's not him. Boruto destined to lose everything he cares about. Recently in the manga Naruto and Sasuke were defeated by Jigen with Naruto being sealed. Now Boruto and team 7 along with Kawaki are trying to save Naruto. I bet you only watch the anime don't you.

factfeeder777 Boruto isn't the child of prophecy. Yes Naruto brought peace but not for eternity. Boruto is made to be stronger because of his bloodline. He's the one that will stop Jigen/Isshiki and future threats. It's his story now Naruto role as the protagonist was done when he fulfilled his dream of becoming Hokage and bringing Sasuke back to Konoha.

I absolutely LOVE how this comes near the end, when Naruto has surpassed many of the world's greatest ninjas, and is nearing a power that could literally rival gods. And yet, here he is, falling to his knees against an even greater threat: his own anxiety, his own impotence to help a friend in a tough world. Holy shit, people say it's all downhill from Pain but this is one of the best moments in the series.

RePPiN CRiPS here we go with bringing up Jiraiya again. I had a 3 season depression because of that. Like I would tear up every time they mention him or show flashbacks of him. It hurt so much. And when Naruto finally found out about the news that his sensei died and when he sat all alone and cried to himself, it made me break down even more. My poor guy 😭😢, I can totally feel the same pain as you. Let’s cry about it together

Morro is my favorite BRO SO TRUE :( I literally was weeping so hard when Naruto was sitting on the bench with the popsicle dripping down to the floor. Everytime I think about it it makes my eyes tear up. Naruto is legit more than an anime. It hits u right where it hurts

You see naruto improve throughout this whole series and see how strong and powerful hes become but this scene shows you that he’s still human and he still goes through the pain and pressures of life. That’s why I love this show.

This is the one time Naruto really breaks down. Even after loosing his parents, being rejected by the village, and EVERYTHING aim the series... this is the only time he lets his emotions really get to him. UGH MY PRECIOUS BEAN

AHH! Naruto and everything about the entire series gives me major feels. The way its set up, how hard Naruto fights, the foreshadowing, the character development, Kakashi, Minato...aghhh. Naruto is just so...Human! Theres nothing extremely out of the ordinary about Naruto and thats what makes it so good...Naruto, unlike most heroes, has his weaknesses and strengths. And theres more, I could go on and on but...I'd go on for too long. Im soo glad I decided to watch Naruto, even if people won't understand why I like it so much. I also regret spoiling myself on some things A LOT.

Man all the different types of emotions that Sasuke managed to bring out shows how deeply Naruto felt about him and their bond. In a way I'm glad filler episodes exist and flashbacks because we do see a little bit more of their friendship. I wonder what Sasuke would say and do if he ever heard from Sai or Kakashi how the thought of everyone wanting to kill him made Naruto have a panic/anxiety attack

This scene was important because all through naruto and shippuden, he always wore a mask of happiness and stupidity to hide the pain he’s always carried inside. This scene just showed that he finally broke and he couldn’t handle it anymore. Most human moment I’ve ever scene in a anime.

I almost died when I saw Naruto hurting like that 😭

I wish it had all flashbacks but I do like the song better than others that have added songs. Good choice.

The most raw scene is the whole series

When i watched this scene, I could feel his pain. Sasuke was his best friend. Naruto and Sasuke grew up together and they made eachother stronger. Sasuke felt the pain of lonliness aswell, and Sasuke was the one person Naruto could relate to. What's most sad about this is the fact that, Naruto can't defend himself or do anything to help sasuke in this situation. Sasuke was a rogue ninja, and was to be killed on sight. That's what is so sad. I feel like there was this piece of Naruto's heart that couldn't let Sasuke go. And the thought he would lose his best friend made him panic.

Naruto felt all that pain he had to save his friends, including Sasuke! Boruto won’t compare, but inside he loves his father a lot.

WHY DO PEOPLE HATE THIS SCENE??? YEAH I UNDERSTAND THAT NARUTO IS A STRONG CHARACTER BUT HES STILL HUMAN! AND ANYONE WOULD HYPERVENTILATE IF THEY FOUND OUT ALL THEIR CHILDHOOD FRIENDS WANTED TO KILL THEYRE BEST FRIEND. PERIODT. 🥺💕

imagine making a promise that you failed once. you spend about 3 years training and trying to keep it. only to find out the person you're trying to save is only getting worse, and the people you promise to, don't want you to follow through, to the point they will lie to you through their teeth for you to let it go.

i hated when people say oh naruto is gay and this and that look if i knew my friend was gonna die and got faked by my friend i would have a panic attack too tf i don't see this as gay this just proves naruto is a true friend and he cares about them.

I’ve never known what it was to experience a broken heart until this scene

This made me burst into tears.. Ima big naruto fan,and still in the process of watching the series and when I saw this.. It made me fill with guilt.Narutos personality is so soft.

I know people used to joke about Sasuke x Naruto but honestly as someone who's only seen a few clips from the series it's weird to me that they didn't end up together. Like, this level of commitment seems so much more than just friendship...

I like the detail of Kakashis face compared to the other two. While their face stayed mostly the same kakashis face kept changing into confusion and worry because he knows Naruto doesnt do this. Naruto always overcame demons and had the strength to save even the village, kakashi believed in naruto fully, so seeing his star child collapse in front of you would make you panic as well. Naruto changed and saved everyone around him and that moment was where he needed to be saved 😭

Throughout the entire series, Naruto has fought through his stress and sorrows. This is when he finally broke.

When you realize he was dealing with depression for 15 years of his life and is only a teenager at that time. It reminds you that even a fictional character the main character is still human.

As someone who suffers from anxiety this scene is very relatable
