I started READING naruto in 2004 , I remember to this chapter and realizing I was reading the “next big thing”. I continued reading the manga weekly until completion when I was finishing college….. I was 13-14 when I started. People talk shit about this show/manga but it’s one of my proudest achievements being there from the actual beginning. These characters are like family to me and every moment is one that I can relate to a specific time on my life . I’m 32 now with a family of my own and getting older but I still feel like that kid reading the first manga volume his friend let him borrow all those years ago… thank you Kishi-senpai

I never really liked anime. I watched Kenshin loved it. Tried others but they didn't interest me. Then my brother said I should watch Naruto, as it's all the rage at the time. He bought all the episodes on Ebay. I was like....nahhh I ain't watching 180 some episode. But one day I was passing by as they were watching Rock Lee vs. Gaara. I saw a glimpse of it and was amazed. Next thing I know, I watched all of Naruto episodes, including the fillers because I had no idea wth filler episodes were. Needless to say, I caught up and couldn't wait for Shippuden to drop.

Yeah, I love it too, og naruto is great and is actually a masterpiece, naruto shippuden fails in many aspects but it’s good too.

imagine if imizuki didnt trick naruto in stealing the forbidden scroll thing. Naruto wouldnt have learned kage bunshin no jutsu. Iruka would not let him graduate, then, instead of naruto, it was a no name ninja(the 2nd bottom ranking student) paired to Sasuke and sakura's team 7. Sasuke might've died here huh

He's also the reason Kakashi got out of the Water Prison in their first encounter with Zabuza Also no by the end of the Tree Climb Training both Naruto & Sasuke were tied with how much progress they made. Lmao at the whole Sakura completing it. She was worn out making it just to one branch. She didn't go all the way to the top of the tree like Naruto & Sasuke did. She was the most useless member of their team and was the weakest. There's a reason she needed saving for the majority of the series

Remember how epic it was when we saw Sasuke activating his Sharingan for the first time 8:25 - I absolutely love the reaction from the guy in the middle right. Those were my thoughts too in that moment

​@@gray1076Yea could be, Tenten fighting style is using different bunch of weapon and we can see she use scroll as weapon storage, it's just unlike Konoha ninjas, i don't see Haku wearing weapon pouches, he keep throwing senbon like he own senbon factory and turn Sasuke into hedgehog.

Sasuke would have beaten Haku if not for that dirty little trick he pulled in attacking a downed Naruto. But Sasuke's Sharingan wouldn't have had time to activate if not for NAruto buying time. But Naruto wouldn't have survived even a few seconds if not for Sasuke's quck thinking. And without Sasuke jumping in to save Naruto. Naruto wouldn't rage. Basically. They make each other stronger. If either 1v1'd Haku it'd be over. It was only the immense rage within Naruto at that moment harmonizing with the 9 tails that allowed the seal to weaken. Otherwise the 9 tails couldn't help and it'd be gg.

7:42 In the dub, here Sasuke says "I don't know. My body reacted on it's own". The author later said that this is because originally Sasuke and Naruto were supposed to end up in a romantic relationship and be couples in the end, and this was one of the first clues to it. However the idea was later removed cause Gay/Yaoi was still considered taboo and the editors didn't like the idea (which I still to this day think was a bullshit choice)
