Orochimaru is the unsung hero of the 4th great ninja war. He saved the Kage. He released the former Hokage so they could help win the battle against Madara. He made Sasuke stronger than the rest, and he ended up saving the leaf village. We all talk about how Itachi wasn't as bad as all of that, but Orochimaru stepped up big time in the end too. Jiraya's words became prophetic here.
