I love the look of matte foundations but they're always tricky for my combi-dry skin. (Some dehydrate me, and some make me get oilier throughout the day when I am sensitive to certain ingredients.) But because I am a long time fan of the Soft Matte Complete Concealer from NARS, I HAD to try the new Soft Matte Complete Foundation. What sort of experience did you have with it, and are you planning to try it out if you haven't?

Ahhh I know what you mean! They can only do a guess based off other shades, but it's a very rough guess most of the time, because each brand may have shades that look different formula to formula (I have 3 Chanel Beige 20s that look nothing alike), and each shade also sets slightly different; some darken a lot, some don't. Hahahahah, it's tough!

Ah this looks so airy and velvety on you! It really looks beautiful. Love the eye look you created with the Pat Mcgrath palette and as always I adore how you combine colours so harmoniously while bringing out some vibrancy into the picture. I really felt like this foundation was made for me it launched, and I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on it 😻😻😻 Unfortunately seems like it's gonna take a while till it's available to me so hopefully I can get it sometime next year. Velvet Fawn by Lisa is the lipcolour I have been needing in my life so thank you for sharing! It is the PERFECT peachy nude beige. What a gorgeous shade 💗💗💗 And it complements your eye look beautifully. Thanks for sharing your shade matches for the concealer, was kinda not sure about which one to pick for that formula - so Nougatine seems great. You're something like a shade twin for me so it's always useful to see your shade selections 😁I use Cafe au Lait in the radiant creamy concealer usually, which shade do you use in that? I'm looking for a lighter shade for brightening.

@@noxmoonyisadork I haven't picked up the fluid foundation matte from CPB yet! I should check if it's launched here or if I completely missed the boat when it did lol. YESS, the black swan white swan collection! I was eyeing the lipsticks hahahaha.

oh yay ! im glad you reviewed this :D. i need to test mine out more in the heat, because in the cold it's not doing many favors for my dry skin. also I am happy you mentioned that dry down is different from oxidation. people are still so up in arms about this concept. by the way, which one do you like better the nars soft matte foundation or the laneige neo cushion matte ?

Hi babe, my skin is on the dry side so if I'm indoors for most of the day I like the LANEIGE. But if I'm going to be out for a whole day and going to be sweating a fair bit, I would 100% go with the NARS; it feels a bit drier in the beginning for me, but it holds up better on hot muggy days.

@@IamCandiceKC thank you for that info. i live in a drier climate than singapore so I am guessing for the winter months, the laneige might do my skin some justice. i have a sample size of the nars, and i am tempted to save some of it and try it out in the summer months. :) again, thank you for the review. i love your break down when it comes to products.

Hi babe, that's the It Cosmetics "Love Is The Foundation" Heart Brush! Not everyone likes it but I find the heart shape quite handy for getting around areas of the face LOL. But honestly any flat/slated buffing brush will work.

Sheer Glow is definitely not as matte. You'd still need to powder it down slightly for that fully matte and filtered-skin look, whereas with this new one, I pretty much didn't need powder after I blended it on. (It's more "powder as an insurance on a hot day" type of thing.) I still love Sheer Glow. Have been using for years! But if I want that poreless look, this new one is it. As for HERA Black Foundation, I find it has more of a traditional long-wear foundation feel. As in, it looks good and covers flaws for photos and video, but you can see that you have high coverage makeup if you look close, cos the texture is not quite as light. With the NARS, I feel MUCH more confident if I need to sit by a window and chat with someone sitting close to me, if you know what I mean hahahaha. It looks very good up close too.

@@IamCandiceKC thank you for the feedback. I do love Nars Sheer Glow but it doesn’t last terribly long on my oily t zone. Maybe I’ll have better luck with this one. I’m not sure I would like a foundation that looks high coverage up close so maybe I’ll pass on the Hera Black despite you mentioning in previous videos that it’s long lasting and not heavy.

@@karenasawa433 Yeah this new NARS one is really a step up in terms of new formulations so I would definitely suggest this over the HERA Black. The HERA still feels fine and looks great compared to many other heavy matte foundations, if you know what I mean. But since there is now one where the texture is even finer and more pore-blurring than the HERA I'd go for that option first.

IKR... omg I love it. It's got just the right balance of undertones. I like that she puts each of her lipstick colors on 3 models with completely different skin tones and undertones (it's not one of those photo-shopped lip colors that a lot of brands do). A lot of her shades are designed to be quite universal and flattering.

P.S. It's sold on her own site, lisaeldridge.com! I just ordered it from there. You need to cross a certain minimum order to get free shipping though. (And a lot of the best colors are selling out fast.) She does a limited quantity per batch so gotta move fast!

@@IamCandiceKC they have their L101 lipstick which is blood red. They have it in a more glossy texture too. Their green eyeshadows are lovely, their foundation is lovely consistency but not a big shade range. Mostly their eyeshadows and lipsticks and glosses I love. Very unique colors that i haven't seen much anywhere else. You can pick just the unique shades that you see on their site. The lip gloss L305, lipstick L209 and L205. I love their golden green eyeshadow E302 but unfortunately it's very dry, they need to change consistency. But lovely colors
