Following your video I went to polish up my rather dull and oxyidized boat. I polished in horizontal rows one pad width at a time. Moving down the panel with each pass. The result was a much improved panel but with faint oxyidized lines at regular intervals. I realised this was because the approximate central 2 cm of the pad rotates much slower than the outer pad. To correct this I now move down a half pad width on each pass.

Yeah that certainly did the job. The smaller one on the previous day though was still very good.

Ah mate! This was exactly the video I was looking for! I’m just about to do the same to my boat and wasn’t sure which product to use , but I felt rather than just polish I needed to take away the oxidation. Love the banter with you and your mate too 😊

Glad to be of service! Hope you get the results I got. Mine was pretty rough and I’m shocked how well it’s come up. I do think machine application was a winner over hand application…. Irrespective of the compound manufacturer.

Hi again we are at Yelvertoft marina. We visited your club many times to see great friends Patti and Maurice Pointon who are no longer with us . They had a superb boat called Zeus . We had several trips to the Swan with them . Regards keep the vlogs coming 👍👍

Very informative vlog, we've got a grp boat I never seem to find a good product I've used Maguires wash and wax but I was impressed by there other items many thanks.best wishes Rob.😊

Isn’t there a different product for GRP? I think I’ve seen the colouration of grp referred to the Gelcoat??? Thanks for watching and commenting.

Always a pleasure to watch a bloke hard at work 😂.. have you any tips on how to remove tar stains from the side of my boat ( I had some dodgy wood last winter which caused a buildup) 🤔🦆💕

Haha! Try a little bit of nail varnish remover in an ‘out of the way spot’. But ultimately id suggest a cutting compound (Tcut or similar) might at least improve the severity of the discolouration. Good luck. Let me know if it works.

Try G3 on a mop.... I do my motorhome once a year and it brings the shine back brilliantly

Hi Paul, love your videos. I tried to use Maguires Ultimate on my boat, but using a full size polisher was too damn hard. What is the small cordless polishing tool you used? I'd love to get Locksley shining as she should again.
