The reason I think this interview is so iconic and remembered as one of Nardwuar’s best is because they body understand eachother. I think Nardwuar often does a great job but the artist has some trouble completely opening up to the kind of guy Nardwuar is. Kendrick is one of those guys where it seems he understands where Nardwuar is coming from conversationally and it really improves the flow of the interview and the clarity of responses

Its kinda weird but wholesome seeing this same guy have fun and then 3 years later makes TPAB.

Kendrick's impression of Nardwuar at 5:20 is hilarious. For once, someone caught Nardwuar off-guard with their own question. This is, and probably will forever remain, the best Kendrick Lamar interview. Thank you, Nardwuar.

because of how Nardwuar is attired and maybe his tonality, i think alot of people overlook and thus underestimate how powerful he is. Kingpins and major drug lords would pay top dollar for this level of intel.

Seeing this is so crazy. Months before the release of good kid maad city Kendrick is still overlooked by the majority with the release of Section 80. He seems super relaxed and goofy during this time but damn I can’t even imagine the amount of stress and hunger he had to be in the top. Years later he’s made it to the top and now is considered a legend. Crazy.

The thing is. I think Nardwuar brings out the real personalities of the people he interviews because of their spontaneous reactions to the surprises that he pulls out. Lamar seems like a chill, nice guy.
