That’s exactly how I see it. You can see the wheels turning and each question or observation seems to be a significant moment in their journey to where they are now. No bullshit generic interview questions. And it’s cool to see those being interviewed show how much they appreciate the efforts Nardwaur puts in to preparation. You know Nardwaur is obsessed with music, just as they were before they became successful, and that’s where it all meshes perfectly together…

Even his questions come across me as commands.. Rather than questions. The intonation on the final syllable of ALL his sentences go UP (indicating a question) so when he ends a sentence (and holds the vacuum and shoves a mic in their face 😂) it's a natural response for the listener to fill the void with a response.. It's brilliant leading of the convo/interview and a masterful display of influence

The fact jack says thank you after everything that gets given to him shows a lot about him

Hands down I think Nardwuar and Sean Evans from "Hot Ones" are 2 of the best interviewers in the game. Both of them do God Level research and have a genuine interest in their subject. They leave space for the interviewee to talk and because of that they pull out jewels of information from them that nobody else can get. And I think the genuis of both of them is how they use props like gifts or chicken wings in Sean's case. 1 uses nostalgia while the other uses discomfort (but in a good way) to get their guard down and they're both highly effective. It draws you in as an audience and the genuis comes into play because they could just use the prop without asking insightful, intelligent, well researched questions but they don't so their subjects/audience loves them for it.

What I love abt Jack is how he shouts out his day 1s, he could easily talk abt himself but there he is showing love to the ppl that brought him love and cared abt him. It’s hard to find someone so friendly and not have such an ego after being famous, rly hope he keeps succeeding he deserves it all

He really had Harlow reminiscing hard had him choking up at moments (almost had my ass crying at how pure that was)

There’s something different about the vibe of this one. Feels very real and sentimental, I think the beach atmosphere has a lot to do with it. Hope it is here to stay!

I'm so glad the world knows Naurdwaur from the internet. Growing up in Canada this man was our bridge to big time celebrities that we never got to see interviews with. I'm 30 now and he still hits that same spot. Keep on rocking in the free world

Nardwuar truly is the most unique interviewer in the music industry. Such an intelligent individual. The hits of nostalgia he gives the interviewee's plus his unintimidating awkward persona really brings down their guards and exposes people's personality.

Jack looks genuinely happy for every gift he got.

I really wish a group of these guys: Jack, Tyler, Quest Love, Cole, would get together and do an album specifically made up of Nardwuar suggested samples from his gifted albums. Id pay more than necessary for that.

I loved everything about this. When Jack mentioned the accolades about Hip-Hop in Kentucky and especially Louisville I couldn't help but think about what could've been if he had performed at the Kentucky Derby the other year. Unfortunately someone in his entourage ruined that opportunity by popping off in a nightclub in Louisville but I digress. I'm super happy to see that Jack has gotten the well deserved screen time in recent years.

Being from BC, it's crazy to see Nardwuar become such a legend. I remember him and the Evaportators playing rec centers on Vancouver Island.

I’ll be 29 this Friday and as weird as it sounds I’ve been around since KZread basically began. Once I came across these interviews you can really tell how much he values every person and the info/knowledge he gets and gives. Most take it entirely the wrong way because they are so far up on a pedestal but Nardwar will forever go down as the greatest OG. Nobody has his style and can ever do what he does. My man’s griiiiiinded for decades.

This video was 23 minutes of pure wholesomeness

whoa whoa whoa, are we gonna gloss over the fact that at 17:17 Jack finessed the mic out of Nardwuar's hand? to use as a prop in his story, accomplishing a feat few have ever dared try, let alone have the gall to think they could actually wrest the sword from the musical warrior's grasp... learned a lot about Jack and Louisville here, much respect, and a phenomenal interview as always, still got it baby, DOOT DOO!

Bro I won’t lie I thought Harlow was an industry plant before he blew up to the level that he’s at now. I ended up doing some research on him as I didn’t feel right judging the guy before I know anything about him and to my surprise he turned out to be such an amazing person with so much good energy. Such a respectable guy who came up by working hard and believing in himself which is very inspirational. Mans is one of the most humble artists for his level of fame. The interview was great and just proves how good of a guy he is. Thank you Nardwuar and Jack for this

Jack seems like one of the more cool cats in the game but let's face it: EVERYONE that "makes it" in the industry as it is today is to a certain degree a "plant" based on the simple fact that you ultimately buy your way into it rather than work your way in nowadays....

Idk why, but this interview made me so emotional, made me cry even! Maybe 'cause it has such a nostalgic and humbling vibe. I'm glad, that there's someone "in the game" who can be talented, hardworking and passionate, but still never fail to stay down to earth and be a sweet person at the same time. God bless.

I genuinely feel so much joy in my heart when the person that Nard is interviewing is stunned and so appreciative of all the work that nard put into the interview. Jack is a class act, that "God I love you" at the end was awesome

I don't know Jack Harlow at all but watching this interview shows how good Nardwuar is at his job. Jack seems like a pretty chill doode too. Love it.

i don’t know much about jack harlow but i’m genuinely impressed about how grounded he is. dude is very appreciative of everyone that helped him get to where he is and doesn’t seem like a supreme douche bag like lots of musicians. i wish him the best in his career and hope he always keeps this demeanor

This has been a huge favorite of mine and I’m a little older but you can tell that jack really respects and knows how much of a gem Nardwuar is to not just the Hip hop and rap community but the music community as a whole. Really really love this!! Never change a thing!!! Much love!

I feel like this was the smoothest interview I’ve seen from Nardwuar… Jack Harlow is a different breed, he’s got really good social skills and is funny sometimes without trying.

I assume to artists, getting an interview with Nardwuar is the new milestone achievement where they can confidently say "we made it". Nardwuar is such a legend in this day and age.

I remember when jack harlow came on the scene I thought he was a complete joke but this dude really seems solid. He’s had a chip on his shoulder this whole time and a lot of rappers try to be something they aren’t to cancel that out but with this dude it’s genuine he’s just himself. And he uses every chance he gets to show love to his people/hometown it takes a real man to stick with your day 1s after the come up, I respect tf out of this dude
