There's different styles to Narco corridos. They're still some that keep the old style but most don't anymore.

Hey, Vice there's a good musician with legendary music that is still number 1 it is called Alma Enamorada by Chalino Sanchez he's also a Narco music artist too and he died in May 1962 he's still a legend with that music called (Alma Enamorada).

There is a big difference between a narco corrido and a corrido, not every corrido is about drugs and money.

Narcos Mexico was spoiled for me cus I grew up listening to this type of Mexican music. I was like, oh this actor is playing this character? Oh he’s gonna die. My friends were like how do you know? And I’m like, I’m psychic.

corridos are still dope asf. yes they talk about cartels and bloody scnearios. but all stories that happened. only negativity that comes out of it is that some youth without brains want to carry that lifestyle because its "cool". i enjoy listening to them as folk songs and to be with the family grab the guitar and sing a few.
