We traveled to Totsukawa Village in Nara Prefecture, the largest village in Japan, and visited as many sightseeing spots as possible during the two days and one night.
Although the dam discharge was unexpected and frustrating, we were able to meet Kinako-chan, the tourism ambassador, and see many beautiful sights, making the trip enjoyable.

Access
We drove from Osaka by rental car.
The time with and without the expressway was only 30 minutes.
I took the expressway to Totsukawa village. For your reference
Osaka - Totsukawa village (with expressway) 3 hours and 30 minutes
Osaka - Totsukawa village (without highway) 4 hours
