Very nicely presented - enjoyed.
Have to listen to it again, but this is highly enjoyable. Thank you for this.
What an excellent start sir!! I really enjoyed your 7YW episodes but this looks even better.... Cannot wait to follow this

Great video. very well done
Thanks a lot, enjoyed it very much
this is awesome
Brilliant presentation and battle. Love the use of INKARNATE map I am using the same program as well. Subscribed.
Great Job! I love the look of the big battles. I am working on 6mm Austrians for the 1809 Campaign. I would love to one day be able to fight a campaign game like this.

Its quite a task but definitely worth it. Im a big fan of the 1809 campaign which i plan to game at some point will also be doing refights of essling and Wagram. I find charles an interesting general too, plan to read up more on him
Cavalry not Cavarly. Once is a typo, twice are misspellings. Great campaign BTW.

Yeah i copied and pasted it. Hopefully wont happen again. Thanks!
Really fun video, I enjoyed watching it. Just curious as to what rules you were using and what books/sources you used for the Austrian OOB. One of my long term goals it to do something like this, but I want to cover the northern Italian theater as well. But I have not managed to find good OOB information on the Austrian's for the start of the 1805 campaign.

Thanks and i was using a homebrew set of rules, still trying to figure out what works best for the scale, solo play but also historical flavour, detail without taking an age to play out

In terms of the OOB this was alot more difficult. I mostly used a campaign book from the wargaming company, its aimed at Austerlitz and has loads of the smaller engagements. So i pieced together the different columns and divisions from that. In terms of the Italian theatre i found almost nothing on charles army other than a soucre on wikipedia which may or may not be reliable

Okay, that's about what I found for the Charles' Italian army as well.
Very enjoyable. Impressive massive armies too. Just one tiny thing - you spelled cavalry incorrectly when showing the various armies strengths. Sorry it's the former teacher in me. Anyhow, go French!!

ahaah, you are spot on. Thats annoying
Hi, cool series!, was wondering what is the system/main mechanics you use to simulate the campaign/strategic movement, i.e. make decisions outside of the direct battlefield scope

Hi sorry for the late reply, In terms of making decisions i lay out plans for each army. Normally 2 or 3 and roll to see which one they adopt, i generally make it more lightly to adopt different plans based on the generals rating and personality. In terms of campaign, i used a very simple system i came up with. But mostly i put it down to simple dice roll decisions to make a story rather than a wargame. But this only works as i played this campaign solo.
Lovely thank you for posting!!! Can I ask what rules you are using?

Understood I seem to be doing the same. Recently read Napoleonic Wargaming by Neil Thomas. Very interesting but like you I like the big battles. Thanks again for the video.
What rules for the battles?

Are the rules for purchase anywhere? If so where?
Can this be done in 1/32 scale if l have many tables a a good size room.

I dont see why you couldnt do this at any scale. Depends how you represent the units i guess. I think unless your basic element is at least a brigade then you might struggle. Also depends on the amount of minis you have. Im currently painting up 1806 prussians so i can fully commit to the what if of this campaign, but even at 6mm this is a big investment.
