The Master Key to Success (1954) by Napoleon Hill
Summary: The secrets to success that Napoleon Hill will share with you in The Master Key to Success program consists of 13 lessons. These teachings may change your life as it did mine. I encourage you to listen to several lessons at first, just to get a feel for Napoleon Hill's language and delivery. Then return to the beginning, prepared to take notes - starting and stopping the program as needed. Be patient. For me, I spent several months reflecting on just the first principle alone. I applied it to my life and paid close attention to how it influenced my daily decisions and actions. Then I moved onto the second principle, and so on.
Before you begin, I want to call your attention to Hill's first principle, Definiteness of Purpose.
Definiteness of Purpose is the starting point of all achievement and, for many students, it is the most challenging principle to apply. In Chapter One, Napoleon Hill will instruct you to apply this principle by completing the three following tasks:
1. "Write down what you most desire in life - what is it that you want?"
2. "Write down what you are willing to give in return for that desire."
3. Memorize and repeat your answers. Repeat them as statements, with regularity, and with an expression of gratitude.
This Definiteness of Purpose principle is often misinterpreted as only relating to that first question - "What do I want?" It is necessary that you understand that the application of Hill's Definiteness of Purpose Principle is the combination of all three of Hill's instructions. The first two questions, "What do I want?" and "What will I give?" are equally important if you intend to put this principle into action.
If you cannot immediately provide answers to these questions, then I encourage you to begin by reflecting on Hill’s second question: "What are you going to give?" This question is about your passion and your contribution to life. It is about expressing your unique gifts and talents that aim to serve others in a positive way. To help you answer that question, consider the following.
What are the things that you like to do that provide you with a feeling of fulfillment and happiness? What are the things that other people see and recognize in you? If you had unlimited access to time and money, what would you do with your life that would benefit and contribute to others? You should consider that every living thing in this world is here to contribute and express something of unique value.
As humans, we have the potential to use our minds to live a life of our own choosing and to labor towards whatever ends we desire. For you, that may be in the form of creating, supporting, writing, constructing, inventing, teaching, or perhaps leading and inspiring others. When you decide how you will serve life in a way that is fulfilling and makes you feel happy, then you have found your PURPOSE, and you will be ready to receive what comes in return.
Therefore, once you have answered the question of what you are willing to give, then it is time to answer what it is that you are willing to receive in return. What do you want from life? What do you most desire that will define your definition of success? When you have answered this question, then you have set for yourself a GOAL. From this point forward, you are living a successful life when you make regular progress toward that GOAL and act on PURPOSE and with passion. The 13 lessons that Napoleon Hill includes in this video will guide you on that path, by providing you with direction and instruction for your great journey toward success.
And remember, that whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

Wonder why this was never instilled on me and siblings in childhood. No fault or blame. Take the lesson and only all good from which our pasts had hurt or tortured us. real talk talk tho. i used to listen to that multiple sources of income mantra so much. i can see it in my life now. its been like ten years since i listened to it but never forgot it. all these videos are burned in my brain. ralph's self - reliance is a good one too

Same. I got 2 dreams jobs by using my imagination and scripting followed by action. I imagined the companies had vacancies (when they didn't). Once I set the intended imaginary outcome, I emailed the first company and talked up my skills and experience lol. I got a phone call the next day. I started the job 3 days later. While working there, I met a lady who was leaving for the 2nd company and the dream job I wanted! She told me who to contact. I waited a few months for her to settle into her job, then I applied and started 2wks later.

@@thefairytaleofabengaltrade9153 absolutely! I always wanted to go to Vegas. At the time I was unemployed and didn’t know how I would feed my son. I made a vision board and said I’ll trust the process. Shortly after I went into deep meditation and imagined myself being in Vegas. What would the people look like, what would it smell like, and how would my balcony view appear. Within three day I was asked to go to Vegas. When I arrived my imagination was just a taste of what Vegas had in store for me. I did the same thing with a trip to Miami. This time I was in a Rose Royce wraith. Driving down the Miami strip feeling like a superstar cameras flashing everywhere. My hotels were the icing on the cake 2 butlers, a swinging chair, electronically controlled curtains, a tv on the mirror. When you showered the water came from the roof. I stayed in several different rooms. It was nothing I had ever experienced. One of the greatest lessons of my life. I am, that I am!

I read Napoleon Hill when I was in junior high school. And committed this Mantra to memory. "I feel happy, I feel healthy, I feel terrific!" For many years when I got into negative thinking, I would repeat this over and over again till I felt I had control.

@@ahmedbadal3795 Sure :) I mean that, in one way or another, when you repress parts of yourself without somehow resolving what they are worried about, they don't go away. They get pushed deeper into your psyche, and they continue unconsciously influencing you. If you push away your fear and doubt, you'll just continue doubting yourself, but it will just be unconscious now, which will influence your behavior. You'll feel insecure but you won't know why. And other toxic effects. I'm not an expert and this topic is sooo nuanced and I don't think it is as simple as what I described, but it's a start. If your question is genuine and you truly want to understand, I think a short but perfect in-depth explanation of what I mean can be found in Teal Swan's video "Bulldozing (The way to ruin your relationship with yourself)". Look it up. Anyway, is it possible that someone may experience long-term positive benefits by doing what Napoleon Hill talks about? Yeah, sure. But it may be very self-abusive. In how many cases - I don't know.

Personally, I think it is only suppression if the mantras are said without sincerity and there is a failure to do anything else but repeat a mantra mindlessly.

There are no mistakes. I was listening to another video and mediating while trying to get rid of a migraine, repositioned my phone to turn down the light and this video turned on. After the ad played, I tried to go back to my other video but there was no back button. And this one began to play. I realize that all things happen for a reason and I was unable to go backwards anyway so I stayed in the present with this video. Amazing! These instructions found me as an answer to my meditation. I've just started my own business and my body is feeling tired and mentally unsure of my prices which caused doubt and worry. So today, my Body manifested a migraine. Powerful! All thanks to the most high.🙏🏾❤❤ I needed to be still with discomfort to focus on something else. I'm listening.🤗

Carnegie never met the swindler Oliver Napoleon Hill, who was married 5 times and constantly visited prostitutes. The yellow villain is a chameleon. Like GC, cheater 10X has written all the damn books that help self-fiction, so he washes the books deep in brine to explain nothing ☠️🤥🤷♀️! Pours water on all five books and boggles the reader's brain, with clever step-by-step formulas that lead nowhere, solve nothing. Narrow dead end.

Energy attracts like energy - if you’re attracting the sick, lame and lazy into your life, look within. You’ll never change them, but ya have a chance in changing yourself. This is the reason, that all Police is illegal. And Not present, In Our Civilization. Citizens socialize together And Work TOGETHER to build and make Things.

The real key is in his body language..... calm, cool, and collected even though he is lying. He’s showing that no matter what he is saying you’ll believe it because he’s not forcing the information down your throat.
This man found something that only few can. I pray that more seek to find it.

This is astounding. I was born in 1944, by 1954 I was in a military school for orphans of sorts founded by Robert Lincoln, (yes, that Lincoln son>) I NEVER heard about this TV series (until today) Yes, I have read THINK AND GROW RICH and many other kinds of similar books, THE MAGIC OF BELIEVING, and while I knew in my heart there was this key that was alluding me it wasn't until a prison school teacher told me God could change my life that He did just that. I married the school teacher 41 years ago. I am so excited that this video is on KZread I will be sharing it the remainder of my life.
What a wonderful man to share all of this and be willing to work with people!

Just remember that no matter how bad your life may seem. It can always be worse. There are people starving, dying of cancer, living with terrible diseases. etc etc etc... His use of riches in that prayer is to mean the gifts that you were born with, not financial riches. The creative gifts that make you who you are. The idea is to learn how to identify and put to use those unique gifts that you were born with and use the power of your mind to channel that energy into a singular goal, a definite chief aim in life, that benefits others and gives you a fulfilled feeling of self-worth and accomplishment. When you find that and how your can provide for others, you will then be ready to receive the material riches.
