Many people don't understand the context. Wim Fissett was Osaka's coach for a while when she got pregnant so he was released. Some time later he ended up being Qinwen's coach, but as soon as Osaka announced her return to tennis, Fissett decided to abandon Qinwen (I guess there was a contract) and go back to coach Osaka. Qinwen seems to be a respectful young woman and just accepted the situation and moved forward instead of making a fuss or take legal actions, etc. That's why her win today tastes like a classy way to revenge, on the court, on the final score.

Wim and Naomi ended the contract in peace as it expired in the summer of 2022,not because of N's pregnancy. Then her dad Leonard Francois was working as a temp coach until Wim came back. Zheng and Riba are a very good team and making fine results so far, same can be said for Naomi and Wim☮.

So when happens when Osaka beats her? Osaka being classier? Revenge on revenge? These are working professional women - these things happen in professional sports. Zheng feels slighted, it should be towards Fisette, not Osaka.

Well Osaka dumped her coach so Qin gives the bugger a job to coach her then the ingrates dumps Qin to go back to the one who dumped him. Does this sound kosher to you? So Qin is what a rebound gig for him? Well it's no secret why he went back to Osaka first chance he gets as I'm sure there's a performance bonus in the contract so he gets a small cut of her winnings so he figured Osaka is a 5x Grand Slam winner so is bound to win more Grand Slams while Qin is a WTA 500 potential winner at best. I get it. It's just good business.

With Osaka the hype isn't matching the reality. Seemly every week someone is claiming Osaka is playing great tennis but when the QFs matches are played she is always out of the tournament by then. This is like Mirra who has never even made a WTA QF but always mentioned as one of the favorites. If people want to talk about someone playing great tennis they should talk about Swiatek, heck even Zheng. But most certainly not Osaka.

Wim Fissette (who is Naomi's coach) reportedly signed a contract to coach Zheng when Naomi was out due to pregnancy. Zheng said Wim broke that contract with her suddenly after finding out Naomi would be coming back. But he was with Naomi first and I think he just didn't connect with Zheng the way he did/does with Naomi. Zheng was really bothered by what he did but today, she says she's in a better place about it.

Osaka brought the negativity on herself starting with the 2021 French Open and her ridiculous comments about paying fines instead of attending press conferences required by ALL players. Big Karen move. Then she dragged her unpopular politics onto the court, which turned off tennis fans. The last straw came when she decided to lecture the crowd at Indian Wells after her loss in 2022 because one person heckled her. Not exactly endearing herself to the fans.
