Nice to see Bianca back and using all her variety. Osaka good power player but one dimensional like many top women.

Great win by Andreescu and a great match on both players' parts, Osaka stepped it up in the third set when she was down but couldn't keep the momentum going. The two of them playing like this going against Sabalenka, Swiatek, and Rybakina? Toss Gauff in the mix also? Great stuff. Both are gonna be dangerous floaters for the rest of the season

Yes, Osaka lost, but man you can see she's coming back. Loved how she went for angled power shots, bc ultimately she'll need that to go against likes of Rybakina or Swiatek. Great progress!

No a good sportswoman would have stopped trying to blow Bianca off the court and concentrate on getting every single ball back on court. She needs to watch all of Nadal clay court victories for one solid week.

The WTA needs Osaka back.

And they thought this chick was better than Serena when all the while it wasn't her skills, it was Serena's age .

Naomi really thought she will be able to pull this off. Bianca is a former USO champ and hungrier now than years ago. Naomi has a long road to travel to get back to her original form. Kudos to Bianca for the win in a tie breaker!

Osaka defeated herself in the 3rd with so many errors. Back to being a mediocre player again. Many times flat-footed and lazy.

Hard to watch! Osaka had this match but riddled with stupid errors, and her opponent won by giving her slice junk balls. Not warranted for full pay and only 3 sets instead of the mens 5 sets. Rediculous

what advantage does Andreescu think she gets from squatting on her backhand?

That's only for Grand Slam tournaments. In regular tournaments, for both men and women, it is two games advantage to 7 games (7-5), but could be much longer if seesawing to 1 game advantage each.
