My father and generations before him born on Nantucket (Backus Lane)- my mother used a large lightship basket to keep clothes pins in and I have her small purse sized basket -my cousins (the Crowells)made them and my daughter-in -law has one of theirs. The baskets are treasures. I saw the name Sandsbury and wondered if there was a Captain Sandsbury my father used to talk about. Love Nantucket and so many memories of it.
