Nanogenerators for Micro to Mega Scale Energy Harvesting | Zhong Lin Wang | TEDxGeorgiaTech

Professor Wang leaves us some extraordinary new insights on how his cutting-edge technologies can change how we see energy production in the world.
Dr. Z.L. Wang is the Hightower Chair in Materials Science and Engineering, and a Regent’s Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His innovations in nanogenerators is paving a path toward a future where energy could be harvested personally and locally. This technology has important implications in powering robotics, health sensors, human-machine interfaces.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Hallow, I have discovered the novel phenomenon to convert the mechanical friction into a DC electric current, and now I have the small prototype which I made due to the phenomenon I discovered. The phenomenon is different from the TRIBOELECTRIC effect. Can I get the support to advance my inventions?

Are you saying that if a jumbojet is covered(all the external surface) with nanogenerators harvesting the Wind friction, the current produced can be enough to power the front fan of each engine ? (take note that 75% of the thrust is produced by the big front fan alone)

I mean you still have to get it to relative speed before that charge could be built. But why waste all the time in fossil fuel nostalgia. When nano generstors can power ion thrusters to fly bladeless airplanes. Space travel

the process on contact and losing contact is necessary to generate the electricity. A jet wouldn't allow that

It would be nice to have large scale nano generator film power harvesting farms covering small parts of the ocean where there is land corrosion from large waves, this may offer: constant high power electrical generation and land preservation.

What I want to know is why anyone thought it was affordable to allow this guy out of the lab. We need to clone him.
