Nano Iwagumi Aquascape Tutorial Using only 1 PLANT

In this tutorial we are going to create a simple Nano Iwagumi layout using only 1 plant Micranthemum Callitrichoides aka “HC Cuba or Dwarf Baby Tears” for short. Most of my tanks tend to have wood and stone in them; but my inspiration for this tank comes from a video posted by ‪@BucePlant‬ While watching their video it made me feel as if I was looking up at a mountain; so I wanted to try and mimic that.
I will be using the “Dark Start Method“ here to get through the beginning stages- where high amounts of nutrients are being released from the soil. That means less water changes and plants are able to adapt faster. This method is more beneficial to sensitive plants like HC cuba, which is why I chose to go this route. There are more benefits to using this method, but we’ll save that for another video.
I’m beyond pleased with how it came out-
Hope you enjoy the video!

Thank you for sharing the process of the build. It is nice to see someone actually looking for a face of a stone or trying to achieve the angle they desire. When it is all done the look you want is there and you can be proud of what you created. That makes those of us watching feel like we can do it too. Beautiful piece!!

Thank you for this wonderful compliment. When I’m creating things I don’t like to rush it I like to take my time and do it right, I tend to leave my hardscapes for a couple of days to observe it and see if I can add more details. Thank you for taking the time to watch this build.

Hi mate, your scape looks great. What are your thoughts on the inline CO2 infuser? Are you happy with it…?

Thank you.. The inline does a better job at breaking up the co2 bubbles, its also distributed better through your tank and it’s less accessories in your tank. Maintenance wise you don’t have to clean it as much as the standard ones so I love it lol

It wasnt too bad, I had a lot of diatoms and green dust algae but I was resilient with my water changes. I also started my lights at about 35-40% power and then increased it by about 5% every week. I just switched over to RODI water and that has made maintenance a lot easier
