Nankang CR-S V2 vs Goodyear 3R vs Goodyear Supercar - Results

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

These are the results of multiple visits to Sebring using the same Shelby GT 500. The Goodyear lap times were with new/sticker P305/30R20 tires. The Nankang tires had approx 100 laps from both Daytona and Sebring, which was more than half their life. The Nankang tires were a bit larger P325/30/R20.....I would use larger Goodyears, if they made them.

Great info, thanks How do the CRS hold up to heat? Do they get greasy with laps?

Heat was not a problem but I was adjusting my air pressures to not exceed 36 PSI. When pressures hit 38 PSI or higher, they did not like it an began to lose grip. At Daytona, there are 2 significant braking zones...the first one just passed the finish line I was braking from approx 180 MPH to 45 MPH and the other at the bus stop of approx 170 MPH to 60 MPH, so severe braking and heat....no issues. The same at Sebring, no issues. Hope this was helpful.

Great info! I've gone through a few sets of the CRS V1 and V2..considering switching the 3R. How many days were you getting out the 3R? I've heard the 3R only last 3 days (15 sessions) ?

@jim1013yyf correct, the 3Rs are fantastic but they do not last as long....the CRS2s last approx 30% more....that is the difference between a 100TW and a 200 TW tire.
