Trains arriving and departing one after another at Wakayamashi Station on the Nankai Main Line, Wakayama Port Line, Kata Line, and JR Kise Main Line in Japan (around 14:00 to 19:00). Limited express "Southern", express, section express, ordinary (passing by Ei Imamiya and Hagino Chaya) Nankai trains, and JR Kise Main Line (between Wakayama and Wakayama City, 227 series) are shown.
The limited express "Southern" was operated by the wrapping car "HYDE Southern", and the Kada Line and Wakayama Port Line were also operated by the Kada Sakana Line and sightseeing trains "Medetai Densha", "Sachi", "Kai", and "Nana". ("Nana" is also shown to be parked on the detention line seen from the overpass.)
At the end of the video, there is also a small number of "Southern" bound for Wakayama Port.
The platform has 5 lines on 2 sides of Nankai, and 1 line on 1 side of JR West adjacent to it.
Lines 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are the Nankai, line 3 is the Kada line, line 7 is the Wakayama port line, and the others are the main lines. Wakayama Port Line direct trains also depart and arrive at Lines 4 and 5. Lines 6 and 7 are lined up vertically, and there are bollards in each direction in the middle of the platform.
The JR platform is only on line 2, and the other side of the same platform is in contact with line 3 in the Nankai, but there is a fence and you cannot come and go. (Line 1 has been abolished.)
In 2017, the ticket gate moved to the 1st floor, and the Nankai and JR ticket gates, which used to be the same, have been separated.
In the video, we also shot the "JR contact ticket gate" used when transferring to JR, and the vicinity of the JR ticket gate in front of JR line 2.
You can see each ticket gate, the ticket office in front of it, and the intercom on the JR side, which is an unmanned station.
When changing trains, instead of passing through the transfer ticket gates, both Nankai and JR will go out of the ticket gates and enter the ticket gates of each company in front of them.
The video is taken in the order of each Nankai platform and ticket gate → JR contact ticket gate of Nankai → outside the ticket gate → JR ticket gate → JR home → each Nankai platform.
