A thought that comes to me when I see these clips with a girl in a yellow flowered dress is how beautiful beauty is a pleasant smile on the notes of a sweet and graceful song. Nanci with her pleasant smile tells us of her pleasure in singing that song, a smile that hovers delicious and carefree throughout the song. Listen and you will perceive in the air a pleasure that will reach your heart, lifting it from all weight.

I worked on Nanci's "Once In A Blue Moon" album project for Rounder Records back in the 1980's. She was a wide eyed, innocent child, as I recall. This song was an easy to record ditty, and everybody involved fell into it, musicially speaking. Nanci's ending should have been many years from now and I'd say, being in the music business was a prime motivator in her accelerated decline. It was so sad seeing it happen, over the years. Her story should be the clarion bell for all singer-songwriter's to pay better attention to the folks you align yourself with...., they could end up killing you.
