My eyes are flooded and my heart is aching for this young lady. Please keep us updated on Namthip’s journey to health. It was so beautiful seeing her hurry into the water and the peace of her relaxing in the soft sand. She so obviously needs good food and rest. Thank you so much to all of you for saving her.

She is still a baby. Only 10 years old, stripped away from her mom at age 8 months old. This is totally unacceptable and cruel. She needed her mom's milk until at least age 5-6. This is sick things that people do to the animals.

@@Cechil55 It does say in the notes she is thirteen but yes, she is still a child who has been badly abused and starved by someone who used her to beg on the streets. Hopefully, she will thrive with the good care at the sanctuary and I desperately want to see her gain weight and have fun with elephant friends.

When I first saw her, I thought she was much older than her 13 years. What a hard life. Thank you for her happy ending. May she find peace, friends, and thrive.

She is so frail its heartbreaking. Thank you to everyone involved in her rescue. Thank you for Elephant Nature Park for giving this young girl a chance for a happy healthy life, with care and family.

I am a 70 year old man that has seen a done a lot. This made me cry. I wish that in my twilight I could sell everything I have, donate it all and live there helping in any way I can. All I need is Food and a place to sleep.

What a great idea!!! I’d love to live out the rest of my life Caring for rescued animals. If I had money I’d create rescue sanctuaries myself, It’d be a dream!! But not possible, but to be able to live in an animal sanctuary for room and board? I’d be all in, wonder if this is possible anywhere???

I completely agree. Animals exist in their own right - not for human entertainment or profit. This may sound harsh, but the so-called 'owner' has no excuse - not poverty, not ignorance - for the cruelty and neglect inflicted on this poor elephant. I'm so thankful she's out of that situation and now with people who will love and cherish her.

I can only imagine how awful it must be to seperate a baby from her mother, when I first saw her I thought she was much older. The only salvation is knowing she will receive kindness and love for the rest of her life, along with the best care, food and friends to love her. Oh my lord, not only did that poor sweet baby suffer, you just know her mom’s heart was also completely shattered as well. It’s absolutely heartbreaking.

I get tears in my eyes when I saw how much NamThip has suffered.

It's absolutely disgusting that people get away with this abuse & the Thai authorities should be ashamed of themselves for turning a blind eye & not dealing to these idiots. I'm so happy that NamThip is finally saved and back with people who can love, and nurture her back to health and give her the medication and nutrients she is missing. With all the right food and supplements, she will soon be putting the weight back on. You could tell NamThip really enjoyed her bath/swim, maybe the first she has had in months/years, after her play in the pool, she could finally rest and go to sleep knowing she is safe, and will finally get to live the rest of her life with other elephants in the sanctuary ❤🐘

Sad beginnings but a happy rest of her life. So along and unloved physically and mentally malnourished. When she arrived her rush to the water and then to rest. Her renewal begins.

Nam Thip seemed so relived to lay down and rest on her bed of sand and to run to the river to refresh her self. She has lived such a hard life, starting at such a young age. It will be interesting to see how her life will change and improve in the days to come. She deserves a better life.
