Well here they did a lot better job on the sound recording compared to the Verenon Reid Demo ... not much demoing though really in either video since I doubt Greg Koch would sound bad even using one of those bundled beginner set amps ...

LOL! I am a big fan of Greg's and have met him and have seen him play several times, but his son Dylan impresses the hell out of me and I am a guitar player. He raised that young man right. And yes, the iRig is pretty nice!

I’ve watched an endless amount of videos presenting guitar processors, both plugs and hardware. I keep concluding the primary factor is the player himself, as Greg Koch here, who can advertise almost any setup and make it sound great. However, iRig and others such as Helix, Boss GT-1000, etc, etc. seem to keep improving with Amp sims, confirming that digital modeling is here to stay. Also, a simple EQ playing through a DAW of choice can further sculpt any tone. I have IK Modo Bass...their products are good. Thanks for the video.

Android will have to catch up to iOS and Mac/PC in terms of realtime audio processing in order for products like iRig Stomp I/O to be useful on the platform.

Android's only issue with audio processing at this point is with latency - an issue that can be overcome with current-gen and previous-gen higher-end Android CPUs in conjunction with Android OS 7.0 or later. In other words, it's currently capable. Unfortunately, since - unlike iOS devices - the Android installed base is so fragmented between CPU types and OS versions, there probably isn't a large enough user base for such efforts. Even so, I have one hell of a tablet that's more than capable of handling the tasks of such a project, and it sucks that there's really nothing out there to take advantage of it. While I'm normally okay using my laptop, I'd love to use my tablet in something like the iRig Stomp, and I'm not likely ever going back to an iPad.
