Ойын-сауық
This is a fountain pen comparison between the Namiki Yukari Royale in Vermillion urushi finish with a 18k gold broad (B) nib to the Pilot Custom Urushi in black urushi finish with a 18k gold fine-medium (FM) nib. Both of these are coated in Japanese traditional technique, urushi.

Thanks for the great comparison video. I was really confused about which pen to buy but this video helped me decide. I just bought my Pilot custom Urushi

Congratulations on your purchase, I'm glad I could be of help.
Enjoying your videos. Appreciate that you talk openly about price. Good quality camera. Currently waiting for a Yukari Royale to arrive!
Great video! You have an impressive collection. Might I suggest when sizing the comparisons that you even them out in a tray perhaps. Or use a ruler or something straight to make sure their even.
It's a tough choice between these great pens, but I think I slightly prefer the Yukari Royale because of the look of the pen.
When comparing the size please make sure you align all the pens at one end. 🙏
VERY helpful video! Thanks so much.
Good review, Love the Yukari Royale but in black. I'm not crazy about the Vermillion color, but the black just seems so right. Thanks for the good video.
Thank you for the interesting video. I have a Pilot Custom Urushi with a (M) nib. I love the pen! I can write for hours with it and because it is so lightweight, it is very comfortable to use. Together with my Sailor KOP and my MB 149, are the pens I love the most in my collection.

So how many hours did you actually write with it non stop?
How is the Yukari's nib compared to the Custom urushi? I have the Custom urushi FM and I don't like the soft/flex characteristics. Is the Yukari the same? I'm eyeing the F Yukari someday but if the nib will be the same, I'll skip it and might consider the 845.
How the custom urushi compares to pilot823 , fm to f or sth ?. Pilot 845 looks like normalsized custom-urushi, kinda nice

Custom Urushi is bigger in every way compared to custom 823 with the exception of ink capacity. In terms of writing, it has a bouncier nib. Custom Urushi is an oversized version of custom 845 and it has twice the nib at #30 vs #15 nib on the 845.

@@OwlxArt The Custom Urushi seems a little to big for me. Which is why the 845 in vermillion red is my grail pen.
Have you ever compared the Custom Urushi with an 845? I have a 845 and I am between the yukari royale and a custom Urushi

No, I do not have a custom 845 unfortunately to compare it to them.

I suggest you that yukari royale is better, for urushi yukari royale is better than 845/custom urushi.
While I love Pilot pens, the black urushi doesn't speak to me. I prefer other techniques.
(I like your videos) but So bias, you roast the sailor king of pen which is cheaper than the yukari, but praise the yukari for the convertor system? Lmao. Also to my taste, you should have bought neither and just bought an emperor. After all, we can only write with 1 pen at a time.

Because the CON-70 is an actual good converter while the Sailor converter sucks ass and everyone hates it.

Yeah the sailor converter is pretty subpar and holding an emperor is pretty insane just purely because of the size I don’t find it to be the most comfortable experience
