In Namibia, trains are rather rare, with only a few disparate lines taking passengers.

The first contact with the country is via the northern line, the one which leads to Windhoek. It is in a reserve, among wild animals, that we take the train. In Namibia you have to deal with the elements and in particular the desert sand, which seeps everywhere. Special brigades take care of network maintenance 24 hours a day. In the north of the country, a freight line, little used by travelers, leaves the town of Tsumeb to reach the Kalahari desert.
