We are currently part of a group and it's been very invaluable.

I started with Nami about 18 years ago. I serviced on the board and was a facilitator for Family to Family. It is very informative. It takes you through different stages of mental health and being educated about the mental illness. At first I was in denial but once you get educated and learn to except your family member's mental illness, you will be on your way to acceptance, healing and understand our love ones. I highly recommend this class for anyone that's has a love one going through a mental illness.

Our family just attended our first NAMI family to family class. Our daughter fell ill less 7 weeks ago and it has been very overwhelming. We are looking forward to the 12 week program so we can better understand our daughter’s brain disorder/mental illness. We want to learn, stay strong as caregivers and remain hopeful that NAMI will continue to advocate for families like ours as we go through our journey with our loved one.

I'm thankful I stumbled into the NAMI Family-to-Family program at a time when I was doing the best I could, but unknowledgeable about how to truly be helpful to family members --- I needed the education to understand the illnesses.

Great Video, but wish it hadn't taken years before they had this or any classes/groups in Solano County. Yolo County has a lot to offer for those who have loved ones with mental illness, thankfully. But not Solano County. They rake in a lot of dough from donations of people who want to help and pay their directors very well; but it would be a great service if they offered real help in Solano County. It would be great if they offered classes/groups for the mentally ill and their families, there are currently only ones for families. Thank you for listening, I hope.

The major thing no one wants to talk about is that even if the person is still unwell they release according to the insurance.other health concerns such as thyroid are rarely treated appropriately
