I don't see anyone here talking about the reversed C suspension. That's the reason why it's so stable. With standard C suspension when it's doing it's job the rear wheel moves backwards while the front wheel moves forwards. Changing lenght of a vehicle during a ride is recipe for crash. With a reversed C suspension both wheels move backward so the lenght of a vehicle stays pretty much the same. I look forward for future e-scooters with this reversed C suspension. I already saw several people reversing their front suspension and also phases for the front motor so it spins backward and their finding are that it's much more stable now.

Thanks for watching this one Khan. That’s always the most fun portion of the ride outside of the First Ave tunnel. Honestly that’s the biggest reason I want the speed. I’m not looking to carve up and recklessly blast though traffic. I just want to be able to keep up, and occasionally accelerate past obstacles and slow situations. It was a dream to fly though those sections. The combination of the moto helmet and the stability of this scooter, is really scary because there were times I didn’t know I was going much faster than expected

Nice ride Ivan and great video too! That scooter looks aggressive as well as the stiffness too. I think the burn e2 has more of a smoother ride quality too. I heard when you hit that grate on the bridge, it looked like it wasnt absorbing much of the shock. Im sure that scooter would be great on smooth roads but not in the city. Thanks again for sharing and stay safe. Oh on another note, i feared for you when you passed that truck, i was like nail biting tension there with a little bit of oh snap! 😂

thanks for watching Domingo! They billed the scooter as a dragster/ track beast that has amazing stability at high speeds. It's definitely a much stiffer suspension and doesn't dampen the bumps as well as the Burn E. However, I must say that takes the harsh bumps amazingly well at high speed. Most scooters would get the wobbles if they hit some of the things I hit at 40+mph on the Blast Max, but that swing arm really kept the tire on the ground and kept me stable. The combination of the stability and moto helmet was really dangerous because you lose sense of speed. I think this scooter would really shine on track conditions or high speed roads. I stand my by statement in the first impressions video that owning this bad boy would be like riding a track ready sports car everyday. It's not going to be as comfy, it's going to be crazy, but you're gonna have a blast doing it lol. hahaha yea man, there were some close encounters on this one. Honestly, I never knew I had so may close encounters. Editing these videos I'm like "damn" I'm grateful to be home lol.

I hope that I can get hands on time with the Inmotion RS because I'd love to compare its performance to the scooters in the Nami line up! I love that the suspension setup can be changed depending on the rider's preference but curious to see how that changes comfort of the ride. As for the Blast Max, it's incredible. The stability at high speed is unmatched in the Nami line up. The design of the front swing arm really eats up the bumps/ potholes that would normally cause wobbles with other scooters. It just takes some time to get used to seeing that inverted swing arm! Honestly, I don't think there's a wrong decision there since they're both quality scooters. One will definitely call to you once you get hands on with them!

I been running numbers on the speed / watts calculator like religiously. 16-18 is epic efficiency ,but not fun or effective. 24-27 is effective but less efficient. Great job on the videos. You have lots of great information in your videos and it is cool seeing the city. After watching a bunch of your videos I now can't decide what I want, thanks for that. First I was thinking about the Klima Max because of it range and torque. Then I watched the videos about the Burn E2 and Blast Max. You are right about the Burn E2 top speed is more than enough for commuting but the 80 km range is less than the 100 km minimum I was looking for. After watching you bombing around on the Blast Max it got me thinking about what you said in one of your videos, can I make the sportscar version work for my commute. The Blast Max just got added to the top of my list tied with Burn E2. I like the idea that if you get the Blast Max your are buying the best version of that scooter. Assuming that Burn E2 would be a smoother ride around city roads but less range over the Blast Max. Guess I just need to pick one. Right now leaning towards the Blast Max because of the quick acceleration and 40ah battery.

Thanks for watching the video and thank you for supporting the channel I appreciate ya. The Burn E2 is definitely a much more comfy and plush ride compared to the Blast Max. The suspension setup on the Blast Max is much stiffer so you feel more of the imperfections in the road but it's what gives the scooter the highspeed stability. I will say that the Blast Max also handles the highspeed road imperfections better than the E2 because of the inverted swing arm. Just keep in mind that the E2 has smaller motors and smaller controllers on a 72v system compared to the bigger motor and controller on a 60v setup on the Blast. That means that the draw on the bigger batteries will be higher on the Blast Max so the range may even out. The reasons to go for the BM are: -Insane Acceleration -High speed stability that doesnt need a damper -Unique design -Brand name cells The reasons to go for the E2 are - Ride comfort - Easy throttle control in all modes - Comfortable deck space - 72v system Honestly, I don't think there's a wrong decision here because I really enjoyed both scooters. It really comes down to preference and use case. I hope this helps!

Weather is getting chilly here in nyc so I got my motorcycle helm on and the high speed creeps up on you haha. This weather is fantastic for commuting on my scoot!

I agree with you. I love this weather because I'm no longer sweating profusely for absolutely no reason and I can finally wear my armored clothing more comfortably! I didn't know that the "K bridge" is quite popular with the stunters. I've seen alot of them riding next to the cemetery that runs along side that bridge (in person and on video)!

I finally received that Teverun Blade GT+ II I ordered a couple of months ago. It sat for a couple of weeks since I've been enjoying the esk8 so much recently. I finally unpacked it the other day to check it out and took it for a spin. For under $2k shipped, there's nothing that will convince me there's a better value out there! I was shocked by everything you get, from the large Sumsung battery (which I checked to see that was indeed what's inside), to the 11" tires, card reader, display, awesome adj suspension, steering damper, solid stem and great latch,

I just would like them to refine the design of the inverted swing arm because it's a little bulky visually (but thats just me nitpicking at it. I really don't mind the design). Congrats on the Blade GT+! It's a cool scooter and definitely presents great value for its price. I haven't been able to skate as much because work and personal things have been busy. On top of that we've had really bad weather and a few PEV events so trying to juggle everything and making sure that I have a video by 8am every Friday is pretty tough right now. I've tried to get on the board late at night, but I find myself choosing to rest and sleep instead lol. I've only done 300 miles on it and I'm behind on my goal of being able to commute, but I'm hoping to do a ride on it to one of my favorite parks. I'm deciding if I'm going to try and knock out a esk8 video this weekend to get episode 6 in or if I'm gonna try and finish up another scooter video. Either way if we don't do the esk8 video 9/22 we'll probably have it up 9/29. I really enjoy making these videos, so maybe one day I'll be able to make content fulltime and I'll be able to release 3+ videos a week. For now we just try to do what we can!

​@NicStride nah not shallow. It's the same as having certain furniture in your house/decor. You can get the same functionality but some people (most) prefer aesthetics, for me it's a big factor.

I really enjoy your EV content! For my taste you keep the perfect balance between "I show you the full potencial of the vehicle" and "I still drive with the awareness to keep myself and others safe" 👍 Hopefully the regulations in Germany will drop soon so that we EV enthusiasts can enjoy some Namis too. Atm we are limited to scooters that don't exceed max speed of 22km/h (around 18 mph) and max weight of 25kg and 500 watts. I hate it, but I still have fun commuting with my Segway Ninebot :D

There's a fine balance that needs to be maintained so that you can showcase the power of a PEV while keeping yourself/ others safe. There are also a lot of "unspoken rules of the road" that we follow here that also seem crazy when taken out of context lol. But that's what makes riding here so much fun! I hope they open up to PEV's soon! I think it's an amazing way to get around the city and provides much needed congestion relief to most cities. These high performance scooters are great replacements for cars when you have to cover long distances by yourself. The Ninebot was my first scooter and I really enjoyed it! It's just tough to navigate the rough NYC roads and the elevation changes on it. I hope the Germany opens up to PEVs soon. With France adopting it fully, are there any signs of them moving towards that in Germany?

The Nami would be the perfect scooter for me tbh, it is a lot of money but still way more affordable for short distances, since I am living close to the city. And to your question... yeah, I am not so sure about that. We are the "country of cars", but they lifted the max speed for scooters from 20-22km/h. Maybe if there is enough demand for it, they will go with more changes and improvements. I would even go with the regulations that you can only drive fast high-end scooters with a motorcycle license 🪪 Let see what the future holds for us

Thanks for watching! I can go straight over the 59th street bridge but I won't be able to test the range nor the speed on the shorter route. I take the shorter route for most of my commutes but I take these longer routes when I'm doing "ride therapy sessions" or if I'm trying to do the stress test for a PEV. My schedule for work, family, and KZread is so tight that I don't really have the time to do joyriding. These longer routes are my way of adding it to something that would normally be a mundane commute. The Nami Blast is scary stable. With the motorcycle helmet, there were times I didn't realize how fast I was going because I was just keeping up with traffic!

Have you tried experimenting on something like decreasing the front motor power limit and/or the acceleration level?

I keep it that way because I assume that most people will never go into the Psettings to tune the power, especially x mode. I would probably reduce the front motor power to 4 if this was my scooter to make it a bit more manageable in x mode at the lower speeds. To be honest, It would take me about a week of riding to get used to it so it’s not that bad. I’m just spoiled by the throttle control on my first gen Burn E 😂

G'day Mate from Brisbane, Australia (home of the 2032 Olympics) Just a question for you regarding the Blast Max. Currently I own an Apollo City Pro which I love for my casual recreational urban exploring yet I am wishing to upgrade for higher thrills with stability at speed yet most importantly as top priorities RANGE & reliabilty whilst I eagerly await on the release of Apollo's A11 project (Phantom replacement) come Q1/2 of 2025. I am now confident enough to jump up to such a more powerful heftier premium scooter in a Blast Max yet wanting to occasionally from time to time take my Nami upgrade on light gravel / bush walking trails (NOT moutain Bike Trail) I know the Nami Blast series isn't built for trails especially with Michael's genius designed reversed front swing arm suspension. But I did see Pascoe from 'Ride & Glide' put it through it's paces it light trails in his Blast Review and it looked to handle it rather well considering. Looking at his viewpoint a lot of fun was had yet physically it looked like anything more than a couple of hours you'd be cooked and on the recliner fast asleep from exhaustion. Perhaps the Klima Max may be a better option? Particularly at a lower pricepoint and nimbleness for tight spaces on City pathways / cycleways? Most of my riding in urban areas isn't road based due to local laws even though pretty relaxed just so I am not breaking any land speed records and being respectful of motorists. Anyway whatever personal input you can give it would be truly appreciated. Love your content by the way, you are doing the PEV a fantastic service worldwide. If you ever come to Australia look up Brisbane for some really scenic riding especially our famous Gold and Sunshine Coasts, sort of like LA / California across the country from your home state.

thanks for watching this video as well! The Blast Max, Burn E2/E2 Max, and Klima Max would all be viable options to upgrade to from the ACP. Here's how I view these 3 scooters. The best road option is the Blast Max hands down. While it can tackle light off roading well enough, it's the king of on road stability because of the reverse swing arm. The reason I say it'll be harder to off road with it is because of how much stiffer the suspension is compared to the Burn E2/E2Max. In my opinion, the best all around scooter here is the E2/E2max. It tackles the road incredibly well (with a little wobbling at the higher speeds if your stance isn't balanced enough and if your suspension isn't dialed it for it) and it tackles light off roading really well because of how plush the suspension feels. In my opinion, it tacked the light trails around my area comfortably because the suspension felt like it had more travel. If space, size, and finances were no problem, those are the best scooters that Nami offers. The Klima Max is the best "city commuter" and that's the reason I ended up downsizing from Burn E to one. It's not great at light offroading because of the smaller tires and stiffer suspension with less travel. However, it is incredibly nimble and torquey enough for most situations. 42mph is not slow either so this is probably the best option for 95% of people and it's also nice that its thousands less! I hope this helps and would love to ride in Brisbane one day🙏🏼

It's basically standup scooters are ok as long as you dont operate them like an ass and are respectful on the road. There are specific details like don't ride on the highway, don't ride on the roads of the bridges, operate within the legal speedlimits etc. On private land, you're welcome to do what ever lol. I know that England has some really strict laws about it but I do see plenty of high performance scooters and Ebikes there.

@eyebahnrides Yah I had the pleasure of riding my cousin's Nami around Central Park last summer when I came to visit. It was bliss hehe! Here in London I commute on my Super73 S2. I have a few 360 videos on my channel. I love it, but would really love a Nami, but it'd just get impounded here lol!

An even throttle is so important. Whether it's trigger or thumb-press or thumb-down, the way the controller handles throttle input can change the entire experience. What I'd like to see is no 'modes' (well, maybe a 'rear wheel only' eco mode), but rather a graduated throttle input that allows you to go from totally sedate to full, and with a tactile 'click' a TURBO/LUDICROUS/X over-capacity push, maybe for a certain amount of time per battery/controller temps. I've been riding my '23 Apollo Phantom almost exclusively, and with the (thumb-down) throttle response at 80%, it's very comfortable & predictable even at full throttle. My first scooter, the '22 Apollo Ghost, I have set to max throttle & while it's got smaller motors, the throttle response is visceral in comparison. I felt like a gymnast holding onto the handlebars. Got used to it, but you end up wearing out your front tire a lot faster due to the spinning on full-throttle launches. The controller & its software/firmware are every bit as important, if not more important, than big motors & huge battery output.

I agree. I forgot to mention in the video that my comments are all about the stock settings of the scooter. Everything can be tuned according to the user's preferences. If I got into the P-Settings I would reduce the acceleration of the motors while allowing them to do 100% output at top speeds. The great thing about that inverted swing arm design is those front tires dont spin out as aggressively as the Burn-E

Thanks for watching the video! That may hold up in very light rain where I’m walking. But I’m worried that it won’t hold up in a downpour at speed. If I didn’t have the mic, the port is covered by a gasketed door, however, the door comes off and the adapter goes into the usbc port. Unfortunately, it leaves that side open to water. If I learned anything from years in real estate development, water always finds its way in if things aren’t sealed properly. I’ve stated looking into the new gopro with the media mod. It seems that the GoPros aren’t as sensitive as the Insta360s and can survive hits and water.

You mentioned in the video 18:00 that the standing position on the burn-e is the most important to make it ride stable in high speeds. Do you have any tips for how you stand and what you would say is the best way? Also, how do you configure your hydraulic suspension and steering damper, for both a comfortable and yet stable ride? Just be sure to always gear up because anything can happen out there and speed just amplifies the damage. When you first get the scooter, anything over 40 seems insane lol, you'll gain more confidence as you get to know it and learn the nuances of your particular scooter. I took my time and spent a 200-300 miles getting used to it and learning the riding posture. Mine actually broke around 1200 miles and I've been riding with an empty damper since. I maintain soft knees and even pressure on both feet in order to get highspeed stability. Also keep in mind that in this video, my steering damper is already dead (no fluid in it because it leaked out when someone hit it in the bike room at work) lol. As for set up check out this video by Rider Guide. Eco mode is 20 mph and a crash at that speed alone can drastically change things. I understand about the time getting away from you. With work, family, youtube, pev events, and work event's. It's been really difficult to find time to ride my esk8. I used to ride after midnight, but I find myself choosing sleep instead. I hope that one day my schedule isn't as crazy so that I can focus on making more videos and riding more.

I finally see what everyone means... I think I may need to play with my suspension and steering damper. I got off the throttle when I hit 84kmh (52mph) and got death wobbles. I'm surprised I managed to stay on. @@eyebahnrides

Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! Interestingly enough, the Burn E feels more maneuverable to me than the Blast Max did. The Klima is much more nimble than the other two. The Blast Max's harsher power delivery and inverted swing arm makes it more difficult to do low speed maneuvers unless you drop the power setting. However, it's incredible in straight lines and much more stable than the Burn E at 50+mph. If you really want the blast, I'm sure you can learn to maximize it's performance by leaning the nuances of how it rides. I hope this helps!

Ivan, best place to put an order on a Blast right now? FFR of Miami does not sell the Blast :-( Just the BE and the K.

FFR MIA has only the BE, even the Klima is pre-ordered. I was there in July and they had some demo units for all 3. Hopefully I can get a Blast with discounts for Black Friday or Christmas. I hope more retailers have Namis in the future.

Through the magic of editing, I also take out all of the head turning because it can make people feel dizzy. On my everyday scooter, I have mirrors because I ride that in all kinds of traffic and its mandatory for heavy rush our commuting. I hope this answers your question!

Ivan, do you feel a big difference between the suspension on Klima, Burn-E versus the orthodoxical one on Blast? The way they did on Blast has a fixed element horizontally positioned and the swing arms go basically back and forth, not up and down. I saw some reviews showing the scooter front part going really down when breaking. Klima and Burn-E in other had, have swing arms, front and rear working together, in sync... Do you feel any difference in traffic environment, and breaking, accelerating? Thank you!

Thanks for watching Andrew! I can confirm that I experienced the front end of the scooter dipping on hard breaking and rising a little on hard acceleration. It's incredible at high speed for stability because it's soaking up the big bumps on the road. I did increase the preload on the front of the scooter for this video and the following video so it wasn't as noticeable then. By the way, I also experienced the front end floating up and down on the Burn-E but not the Klima. I solved that issue by following the preload/ suspension settings that @riderguide came out with a few years ago. Honestly, after a few days with the scooter and making those changes, I didn't even notice it anymore. The only thing that remained extremely noticeable with the scooter was how hard it is to control the power in mode 5 at low speeds (stock settings). I don't really like changing modes on my scooter and I'm used to keeping my Burn- E on X mode (max settings) all the time. With this scooter, I found that it was the most comfortable in S and C mode aka Mode 3 and 4. I hope this helps!

I remember that in another video, the first one with the Nami Blast, you commented on the front suspension dipping, and even showed several videos of the "issue". I need a better, faster, safer, and more comfortable scooter, and I am leaning towards the Klima. It will be a Nami for sure... I had to do a "long" trip last weekend and the battery died after 12 miles, so I had to shamefully push the scooter for 4 miles. I was livid. The Blast is a monster, powerful, ugly, but maybe a little over my budget. I just wish the deck on Klima was a little wider and on the Blast, a little bit longer. Nice to know about the power, I will keep it in mind. Your videos rock! Cheers!

Good point. Of course, with the inverted swing arm, stability in higher speed is better, as the tire tends to stay straight! Makes total sense now. And the reaction to bumps tends to be even better. Damn, I need a huge discount or save a lot for a Blast! Michael Sha, help!

Originally it wasn't my thing, but, I like it now that I've seen it every time I was at the FFR shop in BK lol. The Klima is also plenty stable at high speeds. Neither the Klima or the Blast require a damper in my opinion. This is also coming from someone with no steering damper on my burn e lol

Hopefully an opportunity comes up where you can get a pre owned one for a good price! I’ve seen them relatively well priced compared to brand new. Thanks for watching Weldon! Im considering it but not as strongly as the Klima. I love my Burn E but the only reason I would change my scooter is to downsize. If I were racing or lived in an area where I need to maintain high speeds, I would choose the blast over the burn E. That high speed stability is insane. I feel like I could ride it with 1 hand at 54mph!

Thanks for watching the video! Unfortunately, there’s no easy answer there because each of those scooters have their particular strengths. Best performance for size and price is the Klima. Best performance in a 60v scooter is the Blast Max. Most comfortable is the Burn E2. Best over all Burn E2 Max.

9:25 kind of dumb, lucky that person wasn't turning left and didn't check their mirrors. Side note, I did take your advice from a while back about gear. Not the exact same, but same type. I got a scorpion motorcycle helmet, will be getting proper gloves, a Klim Induction jacket, and lyatt dual axis leg guards.

thanks for watching! It was a calculated risk but at that moment, I was tired of being stuck behind the cars. I've done worse and people have done much worse in this city. Glad to hear about the safety gear! The Leatts are awesome, I use those too. How do you like the Scorpion? I hear mixed reviews about it. Some say they love it, other's say its really uncomfortable because of the shape.

Interestingly enough, I even get thank yous from people when they catch up to me at a light. I've never gotten thanked for anything in this city so it surprises me lol. I'm not a fan of jumpy scooters either. I get that i don't have to be on max settings. I would recommend people build up to it because this beast otc is got some pull because it can really put down the power.

The hub wheel was begging for mercy! The controller giving no quarters! The tire egged out in 1/4 second! I'm already like 😱 😱 ! Dual motors , dual motorcycle controllers, dual huge 24s 8p 72-100.8v battery packs , 150+ range... What could possibly go wrong?? 🤪

This channel is one of the few that actually rides extremely conservatively compared to the rest of NYC so I'm generally surprised when folks say something like this. You're gonna have a heart attack watching Fixed Gear Riders, Cyclists, Drives and Motorcycle Riders on KZread. That's just stuff captured on video. Wait till you see how pedestrians, Citibikers, motorists, delivery folks, cab drivers, and bus drivers ACTUALLY navigate the city in reality. There's a great video on actual law vs. spirit of the law on KZread I recommend checking out. BTW, did you know that eating ice cream on the sidewalk is Illegal in NYC? We're also not allowed to let a donkey sleep in our bathtub =(.

(An example I recently saw of a reckless rider: kzread.info4qx7cxuMyfU?si=K5is0SkmIoZOWM33) Wait till he finds out that even NY cops break the rules of the roads while not heading to an emergency (and they park on sidewalks/bike lanes)

@@khanrides yea man. I’m fully aware that the way we navigate NYC is insane when viewed by those outside of the city. However, there are certain things that will remain the same. For example. When I lived down in the DMV (DC, MD, VA), red lights and stop signs were optional as well when the roads were empty. People would honk the sht out of me if I stopped at a red light when the country roads were dead during off hours. Those were normal laws that everyone “breaks” but you only learn as you live there. Another thing is speeding. Generally, it’s safer to flow with traffic than it is go at the limit if everyone is speeding over the speed limit. Honestly, I’m less concerned about these grey area things compared to things ghost cars with fake plates, illegal motor vehicles, driving the wrong way down a one way, reckless riding, and civil servants operating govt owned vehicles thinking they can do what ever the hell they want on the road… I get that two wrongs don’t make a right but there are levels to everything 🤦🏻‍♂️
