it was easy to perfect a tag back in the day u had time like minitues to put your tag up but now we just splash it up as cctv etc etc n mugs on their phones etc

To put it simply, it’s your signature. Unfortunately piece lettering seems to of taken a backward step though, with the exception of a handful (“Dowt” can write) there’s not many out there that can compete with the likes of “kast” from back in the 80’s, some of the stuff going up on the big met in 88 and 89 was mind blowing. Check out “rocking the city . Com”, most of it is there in record.

@@dougiemontana4815 yeah ive seen all the rocking the city pics etc been graffing in london since 95 solid. I kno a few of these people and been on lines and met some etc.. stopped writing in 2004 once had kids etc Keep a eye out for the writers in my era and before! Like going places lile camden throw a surprise from time to time. But most are living life etc.. The one thing i 1m% felt when name said about the the Itch. You always have it paint pen pencil paper! Stick in the sand on the beach you always wanna put up. I love meeting writers and speaking about experiences.. getting in trouble scrap fights at stations with rival cru's and btp missions. Graf has changed but not forgotten like hitting bnq and other paint shops days before the layup. Getting nicked was just apart of it back then.

Steve Brum-hamilton ...check out “allcity taxi talk” on KZread, he’s had some proper writers on going back to mike 172 who started in 1968 and a few 80’s writers from London, amazing interviews from the old school hip hop era in general, wipes the floor from this channel
