Dan james dad, was a very proud welsh man, his brother also enters the wales badminton nationals each year, where dan was born in 2 hours drive from wales. Wilson was born and rasied in Wrexham...wales. sterling was born in jamica, not even this continent, but never gets a mention

Always so annoying that the host describes the rules wrongs. You don't "attempt" to get more than the other person or call them a liar. To "claim" to get more or call them a liar. You only attempt it when they call you a liar. The way they read the rules makes it sound like one person claims and then the other person has to attempt to do more, but they can first claim to do more..

No, you could've just used google mate - The Germanic word “Walh” or “Walhas” was used by the Germanic peoples of the “Dark Ages” to refer to former citizens of the Roman Empire; those people they encountered speaking Romance and Celtic languages. It in effect meant “outsider”, “foreigner”, “non-Germanic”. When the Germanic Angles, Saxons, and Jutes (who would later come together as the English) arrived on the island of Great Britain during this period, the indigenous Britons were a Romanised Celtic people speaking Common Brythonic. Thus derived the words “Wales” and “Welsh” for the country and people of the native Britons. So Wales is called Wales because it is the last vestige of the native Britons, named as such by the Anglo-Saxons in order to “other” them.
