Comrade, they made sekrit battleships in a Naval Base called Polanski, complete with advanced turret lubricant systems to turn 18" guns in 30 seconds a full 180. :P

The new Russian CVs are just ridiculously op... The skip bombers are way to easy to hit with, the rockets eat cruisers and the torp spread is simply broken... Not to mention that the planes are made of stalinium and the booster take off is dumb af

your team was getting spanked... right up until you sank the cv and turned on the enemy fleet. CV stands for Carry Vessel.

Actually kamikaze were the best anti-CV warfare in WWII. I think their introduction with IJN CVs is just a matter of time.

French and US BBs are very juicy targets. You just know they will melt in seconds.

I was thinking, can you make an AA build on the CV and stay close to Allies and use its AA to cover them, while going after enemy CV. I only got the Graf Zeppelin from a crate and doubt it would work with that, since it loses lots of planes trying to defeat a CV.

Well, sure the AA on a CV is strong, but the problem is that everybody will shoot you if you are spotted, and you will be. So in short: no, it won't work, since you won't last long enough to shoot down planes... And as long as you are alive, the enemie cv will just harass the DDs that are far away... So, yeah... Unfortunately not gonna work

Someone used to division up with 2 DD’s and a G Zep., using their smoke. Does limit what the DD’s can do in the game but the secondaries on the Graf did insane damage

This used to be my playstyle but it doesnt work with the crappy autopilot and alot of the AA ranges on CVS are bad. My old Saipan had 7.2km AA range thanks to upgrade and captain skill. Now it cannot go beyond 3.5km or some useless number.

Jet Plane SuperCarriers: Hold my keg.

Ok, I played Tier 6 carriers and felt they are in somewhat good place, their damage is limited, major counter-play are flak puffs, but they can carry (ha. ha.). Then I switched to Tier 8 (Lexington) and that thing is filthy. I started with stock modules = less 2/3 of alpha damage for all plane squadrons. And even then I racked ~60k avg. damage and ~40-50k spotting damage... with stock modules... I actually sold it, because I completely lost interest in carrier gameplay. It felt like a point-and-click adventure.

Everyone watching the stream: Look Soviet CV's stronk! Me: How did that Elbing ate two of Shliefen's sea mines xD?!

This ship did 50% of my DDs HP in one drop.. nuff said broken AF

The only way to counter this is by removing it early in the game, the US can use everything but it’ll take time and lot of plane losses, the IJN can do some relevant damage, but most of the time they have to relied on torp and also huge plane loss, the brits would be irrelevant for this and the german maybe the best option but would face problem with AA ship camping near nakhimov

I dont have it but whenever I play ranked with haku I beat it. But it and haku are the only cvs i see This in a div with Conq and smolensk or similar combo would be nasty farming fires

Historically some subs DID have AA, pretty heavy AA actually Type VII submarine - U-Flak or flak trap subs for example, with 2 quad 20mm, 2x 37mm automatic, and even a battery of 86mm aa rockets....

Aaah, seeing that Smolensk getting balanced was cathartic. Then I remembered supercarriers

17:58 "Where are you, sub?" asked and then proceeded to search half of the cap a sub really cannot be into - just look at your spotted range and a "detected" mark on your screen and you have the area where the sub is, nothing too hard about it ;)

I told you a while ago that you will become CV main, you see, you played CV again! :p

Not really, try playing non Soviet cv, they do not drop entire ordinance on single pass, they have no boost on start, They have more tricky aiming system and have to actually stay longer in aa defense zone. Obce you loose your first squadron, you don't have another full for nost of time. But all of these do not apply to Nakhimov. Nakhimov is just broken

Some days ago a potato CV in this exact map pressed W and went to cap mid alone. Obviously he got rekt and start complaining about - listen - THE HEAL CHEAT IN BBs. And then he proceeded to say you need skill to play CVs and people just complain bc they lack skill. I lost all my words with this idiot. Edit: what I forgot to say is he pressed W in the moment the match started, so he was dead in less than 5 min.

WG is like: I'M NOT DONE YET!

But i must admit, it is fun to play with, but not against.

go back to where the sub was in the cap when you were trying to spot him and you will see a directional arrow in the direction that your planes were being detected.

I think you're missing the fact that it only kill one cv on the map xD so it will be an even bigger loose if the enemy decides to slap your cv :D

BBs don't have the same battle impact though. For instance, spotting is really important for winning games (there's a reason DDs and radar cruisers are high priority targets). This game, Nakhi had 270k spotting damage. Good luck getting that in a BB.

Barrion damage and damage is not always the same. Without me my team would have made 270k less damage due to spotting :)

This is how all CVs should work. That bullshit where 'whole squadron flies through AA but only 2 planes fire payload' is unbelievably dumb. There are counters to everything in this game... but most people get salty when a CV catches them alone and starts to tear them appart. A BB shoots for 20k per salvo every 30 seconds. A CV does that every 2 mins but has a lower chance to miss.

You can shoot back at a BB, and you can position yourself against one. Carrier? Nope. Cant shoot back, and if it's not in a good position to drop it can just break off, fly around and drop from another angle.
