    I am quite sure unless a new PM candidate appears in the next election, a whole swathe of right minded thinking Malaysians will abstain from voting. There is not 1 party that is worthy of our vote.

    Agreed. Voters played out twice. Sheraton move and now the trust deficit in decisions by Harapan in handling Important issues. Only hope is for a new party to emerge with qualified and robust team with new ideas to run the country. Personalities like Khairy, Saddik, Ong and Tony should join forces and form a solid party to serve the Nation and move forward. There are too many old politicians who should give way to younger ones with better ideas as succession plan.

    I disagree with Sarawak relinquishing its immigration autonomy. It's to protect jobs for Sarawakians, otherwise all the top jobs will be sapu'ed by Malayan imports. Further, the demography of Sarawak would be changed by the influx of Malayans, upsetting the already delicate racial balance. The inequalities are already present in Sarawak without Malayan influences. Look at the top positions in the State government departments, Sarawak public universities and Sarawak GLCs. Many of us seem to have forgotten that this is not a PH govt, this is a “Unity govt”. It is a coalition of coalitions, which comprises PH, GPS, GRS, BN (essentially UMNO, as the other component parties are basically ’dead’). All major decisions would have to be agreed by the leadership of every single coalition within the coalition of the Unity govt. Effectively Anwar’s premiership is in the hands of GPS and BN as each of them could potentially pull support from Anwar if they don’t get what they really wanted.

This was an extract from an FMT article last year “ The law and the Pardons Board Each state has its own Pardons Board, appointed by either the sultans or governors. The only exception is the Federal Territories, where members are appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also sits on the Federal Territories Pardons Board as the Federal Territories comes under the purview of the Prime Minister’s Department.” Was Anwar in the board?

    Lovely conversation on how to make KL a green(er) city with a park connector network for the benefit and enjoyment of our city folks and holiday makers. Just to add on to the idea, KL can be a city that is a class above the rest, and a city that makes a difference by simply being thoughtful to ensure we incorporate facilities for the ease of motion for senior citizens and OKU( PWDs). We are behind time in these developments. However, your views are forward-looking and doable. It takes a PIC who is focussed, sincere about change and with foresight to make things happen.

    In terms of inter-ministerial cooperation, why not have an MOE I & MOE II instead of separating them into MOE and MOHE? Even though on paper you would still have a minister in charge of pre-school up to pre-university education while the other minister takes care of tertiary education, having two ministers under one ministry helps a lot coordination wise, especially with regards to coordinating pre-university and tertiary so that no minister can deflect the blame to the other when it comes to thorny issues like quotas. Just my two cents but the best solution in my mind would be to have a streamlined, yet decentralised education system not just in pre-schools but all the way up to pre-university. Implementing a subject based banding system like in Singapore would be the best way to accomodate all interest groups whether it be linguistic or religious education since subjects are catered to each student rather than having the entire class take the same subjects by default with disparities being sorted out separately. We should strive for 6+4+2 system in line with K12 education from primary up to pre-university so that we won't lose out to the international schools, while also making sure pre-university education is streamlined and consistent standards. Having the with different bands within a particular subject like H1 H2 H3 in Singapore A-Levels would give proper weightage to the grading system instead of the current situation where a 4.0 in different pre-university courses with varying levels of difficulty are practically taken with the same value when applying for university.

    I find all these have been and wanna be discussion quite pointless. I’m sure many is aware of multiple shortcomings within all aspects of government that can be improve. Education for example requires a long hard look, acknowledge the shortcomings and make necessary changes. But again, everything is politicised to secure votes instead of securing the competency of future generations. I don’t foresee any improvement due to lack of will. All the current crop of leadership irrespective of party is stuck in the race to jostle for support instead of good governance. They’ll gladly sell you a story about struggles for the people during election time; afterwards it’s struggles within each party till the next election. Come to your senses ppl. We simply don’t have reliable political leader.

    Najib never show remorse for his crimes yet given such generous leniency. Malaysian is still paying for his 1MDB heist. This is Malaysia for you. Lesson learn next time if you want to steal don't alang alang steal millions or billions. Stealing 50 millions is worth just one year jail time. Worth to steal in Malaysia. Who say crime doesn't pay.

    I think no matter which party becomes the PM instead of PH/Anwar, Najib appeal for pardon will not go away. Not the Unity Gov / PH problem . I have predicted a deduction instead of full pardon in 1st place( not the deduction of fines), but it make sense too. This is SRC case not 1MDB case. Overall, the tiger still in the jail, 1MDB case is approaching the end, I don’t think he can come out anytime soon. Then his wife might join him too. To be honest, not many Malaysian is angry of this deduction, from the view of the people around me.

    Compared to the Tuns and Taib's financial and resource looting of this country ,Najib's crimes might be lesser among the evils. And with the power and influence wielded by the axis of those old men.PMX needs all the allies he can get. Just mulling.

  • @Bersih12
    @Bersih126 ай бұрын

    Dont worry, najib will never free himself from jail term. Even if he is a pardon now, he is still facing an ongoing case and more cases thereafter. So if found guilty in these cases, surely no more pardon for him. That is why PMX is the smartest PM ever in Malaysia.

Even he is finding it difficult to understand the pardon. Give it a rest la guys. Even the foreigners aren't surprised. In fact they are surprised that ordinary malaysians haven't gotten used to it by now.
