Nail Tip Application and Shaping Tutorial - Kirsty Meakin Archives #9
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hiya Ducks,
In this old ass video, I am gonna show you how I apply a nail tip. It's probably changed since then, but we've gotta give you some content while we sort our studio out.
Adam and I have been in there today, planning it all out, purchasing some stuff, doing some lighting tests, and playing with Adams cameras and my new vlog camera.
In a couple of weeks, we'll be ready to shoot and fingers crossed we'll show you some of the exciting things we've been working on for the past month.
Love Kirsty x

Can we get a video of your recent nail room? Like a nail room tour so we can see all your nail stuff like nail art and stuff you got.. because I’m sure you have accumulated a lot of different brands and since this is your own channel you can finally show us all the other non Naio Nail stuff you got 😁 I would love a video like that 😁 thanks for sharing hun 😊😊
I love that you go through everything in such depth and dont skip over small details. Its so helpful to just be reminded of the little things as well as picking up new tips and tricks :)

Oh my goodness thank you!!!! Started watching on Facebook long to ago and I love your videos!!! I always look forward to your posts ❤️
I hope to see more of your tutorials because they are really helpful to me. I'm so glad you're still doing videos on your own channel. I don't think Naio is doing videos at all. Thank you Kirsty for the years of inspiration and demo's you brought us. I am looking forward to more videos from you and Adam!!!❤😍👏👏👋💙❤💙❤
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that you knew you were going solo (assuming) “when the contract ended” this long ago!!!! Plenty of time to prepare and exactly like you have done made videos along the way that were just waiting to be released! Love from MN❤️

Very helpful. Loved it.
Old video or not, I love detailed you are and now see the mistakes I’ve made with tips. I haven’t used anything but full cover tips or builder gel using forms because of these mistakes, and now I can’t wait to try tips again.
Thanks beautiful 🤩 I need to practice usually I don’t use tips but I start with to used them
Great video💅luckily I don't have any trouble putting on tips on my 💅but really enjoy watching all of your tutorials. Thanks K & A 😻 Sue Ellen from WV🇺🇸

Oh my god that help me so much thank you for your lesson I learned so much today I love you
Love your tutorial"s 💅💯❤️
Thanks for the great tips!!
Thank you for this wonderful video!! I’m just now starting to try out nail tips. I’ve always sculpted the tips, and used only hard gels. I think it’s a good time to start something new!! I am also starting to use acrylic and besides my bf complaining about the smell, I am LOVING IT!! I don’t think I would have tried acrylic if I hadn’t come across your videos and how you break it down and make it easier to understand!! Thank you so much!!!

I do have a question about the regular abs tips and the “gel” tips, do they both have the same smell when you file them? I find the regular abs tips have an almost skunky smell... maybe it’s just me lol. Just thought you might know. Thank you so much for your time!!
I love that in the video you comment about the ballerina being the “in” shape to have at the moment “but if you’re watching this in 2020 it’s probably different by then, it’ll probably be space ship nails” I thought to myself WTF then I read the description saying that it’s an old video that you’re re posting whilst you get the studio done. I’m now DESPERATE to know when this video was FIRST released cos I’m nosey!!! 🤣
Thanks for sharing this detailed video 💖

What do you do about, to fix, and prevent when the natural nail is pulling away or lifting from the nail tip or acrylic extension on the free edge?
Thank your tips on putting tips on.
I am so glad you did this video. Question 🙋🏻♀️. Can you train a flat nail bed to have a more curved shape by pinching it the way you demonstrated.
@carmenmfscmf
3 жыл бұрын
If you do it after having applied acrylics/polygel/builder gel, of course you can. After a year of doing acrylics and pinching them, my nails have developed more of a c-curve even. Don’t ever pinch on just bare natural nails, it’s too harsh for them and you may cause permanent damage.
I can't wait untill you start doing fays new sets on here 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 and your own as well!! I just cannot wait!!

How do you glue on a nail tip on a nail bed that is growing downwards but you want to keep it straight? What do you do about the gap between the nail tip and the natural nails, since the tip will be angled up?
Hi where do you buy your tips? Can you put the link? Thanks!:)

Can you apply gel polish over this type of tip? I am trying to learn to do my nails at home.
I asked my nail masters a few yesrs ago is this correct and possibke ,and they ali told me Dont do that. For many things they they were unhelpfull snd send me to wrong way. I decided to do this a few months ago and I felt very happy. Now I more happy as I see here this Is a right way .
I bought a few different nail tip sets when I was acquiring some nail supplies, and found that the largest sized tip, 0, is still just a bit too small for my thumb nails. My thumbs nails are flat and curve a bit on the sides, instead of having a "C" curve. They are also wide, compared to the majority of options out there. If they made or had a size "00" I think that would fit perfectly, like the size "0" is just one size too small. Like you said, "Never go to small." Do you have any suggestions for people who have slightly wider nailbeds compared to the norm? Does anyone make nail tips one larger than size "0"?
Should do a video about learning how to properly putting a tip on a crooked finger and mail at the same time, I had nail techs do my nails and they always followed the way my one crooked finger was angled and I HATED it. Should the be straight down? Or followed down with the crooked finger?
@shelleysnailparlour2392
3 жыл бұрын
You should always have the nail corrected to be in line with the bone at the base of your finger. No matter how crooked the nail or fingertip, following the above method will always create a beautiful straight nail. I thank Kirsty Meakin for this information as not many actually teach this. Xxx
🥰🥰🥰
@Kirsty Meakin Would anyone have a clue for knowing what polish Kirsty is wearing here? So gorgeous!
Can you do a video on drill bits and what rpm they should be used at? Ive seen a few but they arent very in depth.

Where can i buy the tips?

So u don't have to completely file the tip to put the acrylic?
I do the same to the sides of my nails as well when i dont have them done.. I start to chew on the sides.. idk why.. maybe anxious or anxiety???

It's actually virgin tips people should look out for as in plastic that hasn't been recycled, the more the plastic or nail tips have been melted down and recycled the weaker that they get. Great video thanks Kirsty and Adam!
There’s gel tips now that don’t bend causing the plastic to turn white like plastic does because the gel makeup.
