Super cute and elegant. The idea of a minimalistic tree is genius and her nails don't look like their natural shape at all. You show us a great technique to camouflage her nail shape into her desired shape (a little bit more balanced in width) without messing the natural shape and respecting her natural nails. I learn a lot from your videos

My mom has nails that grow upwards. My nail instructor calls them "ski slope nails"! I did the same process with her nails, I cut down the free edge as much as possible, rounded them with a file and put gel on top. My instructor said that the only way to fix this was to cut down the free edge as much as possible on people with ski slope nails. So sad for people with them they cant grow their natural nails out :( glad I learned how to make her nails look great though!

Try using the smallest dotting tool or orange woodstick at the end of the application. Try to go around the nail as thinly as possible. There should be a hair line distance between the cuticle and the nail. Also, practice as much as you can.

  • @mellinsomnia1

Also, use primer on the whole nail. I use 2 coats of nonacid primer, and then the base coat. If you get lifting, it could be that some cuticle is left on the nail plate, that there was some oil on the nail, or primer/base gel missing, or product has touched the skin. I never get lifting anywhere, not even after 5 weeks. If your nail prep is good, then try primer then base coat.

OhTatyana, I tried your wonderful method today which helped in the main but for my situation it’s hard because the nails have lifted away from the nail bed making it virtually impossible to correct. I have no polygel so just took your tip of angling the form down slightly and your other tip of building up slightly from cuticle. with gel. Took me all day to complete both hands BUT that’s just building the nails lol. Tomorrow I want to try a floral milk bath look with flakes if gold foil but that’s if I get the time 🙏🏻 It’s so stressful and a battle to maintain my nails when I always had healthy long nails before psoriasis. Helps me relax watching nail tutorials but I wish I could just do the fun side of it too. Thank you so much, you helped with your methods and it’s very much appreciated ( and relaxing listening to you! ) warm wishes ❤️💅🏻🙏🏻

I like them because they are clear and you can see through them. they have numbers and lines thats it. they are really long and id rather have those type of forms like you. That's usually done because builder gel gives you a stronger foundation than just using poly gel. With upward growing nails your apex isn't as thick as it should be so you need some additional strength for structural purposes 😊

    3 жыл бұрын

@@xarocapontopt you're welcome! On downward growing nails is enough space to build a nice looking nail with a good structure so you can usually treat them like normal. I'd just personally refrain from using tips - especially the curved ones - since they grow out much more droopy than the other straight nails. Use very slightly upwards angled forms instead! 🤗
