@@Yozora765 I don't think Ei didn't care. I don't think she saw herself as his 'mother' and frankly might have been suprised to find he felt that way about her. If Ei really didn't care she wouldn't have created a peaceful domain for him to reside in and would have destroyed him after deciding he wasn't suitable as a host for her divine powers. Just to be clear, with how much he struggled with emotional hardship, he really isn't suited for the burden of divinity. The great irony is he seemed to think being divine would put him above such things and literally every god we have met is weighed down with sadness from loss or sacrifice.

So bascially, Nahida get Cyno working in the light, Alhaitham working in the shadow and Hat Guy working directly under her command

My respect for Alheitham sky rocketed after this event even if I always have beef with how he treats Kaveh/his cold attitude in general. I already have a deep respect since the moment he said, "The purpose of man kind is not knowledge." He is your sterotypical evil genuis character, but he actually thinks the good of humanity is the rational first piority. He is that guy; "I don't need to be sentimental and sappy to believe in the good of humanity."

Regardless of whether or not you think Nahida’s his adopted mom, sister, or you think the association is stupid, I really like how they portray Nahida as a guiding force to help Hat Guy. Even tho he has experienced so much and was betrayed by so many people, he has never found a place to belong, hence his moniker as the “Wanderer.” I think Nahida is trying to be the guiding mother or family figure that Wanderer has longed for, even if he doesn’t want to admit it. Just like how he tried to learn blacksmithing from Kazuha’s ancestor or befriending a sick boy, he is being pushed to try new things like the cooking class from his b-day note or writing counter arguments to Inazuma policy. It seems appropriate that Nahida wants him to study a counter-argument to Sachin’s Nihilism since Hat Guy himself even believes it to an extent and let it be the driving force for a lot of his evil deeds. It very much shows how wise and caring Nahida really is and I hope we see more of Hat Guy’s development as the story progresses. Personally, while I like the idea that she’s Hat Guy’s new mom, I subscribe to the idea that it is more like working relationship between Zhongli and Xiao. It seems appropriate too since it’s an archon helping an emotionally broken Anemo character, lol.

Yeah, as much as I think the Mom Nahida thing is cute, I don't take it too seriously, as the more I think about the concept the weirder it gets for me haha.... I always took their relationship as a kind and caring boss and her helper (or sister, at maximum ha). She wants him to learn and connect with others just as she is, the difference is that she's at least trying and he's reluctant to even try. She knows the pain that immortals like them go through and she still believes in the good of the world and wants him to see the same, even if just a little bit. They have all the time in the world at the moment so he needs to try at least. (It's also very wholesome that she doesn't want him to be lonely again) (As much as I don't think forcing someone into "university or a class" is the right thing, as they say 'forcing one to do something will only make them hate it', he needs to do SOMETHING at least, no matter if he thinks its pointless. And it seems he doesn't hate the entirety of it, as he likes breaking peoples arguments, so there's is some fun to be had haha)

Nahida & Traveller-Paimon are the closest people left for him cuz they are the only ones that know his past, even his real mum, the harbingers have their memory completely erased. Also if you like the work relationship, then you call him "the sage of buer".

@@nk30020 His mommy's is still quite questionable tbh...cause he erased memories from his identity as Kabukimono, Kunikuzushi and Scaramouche, not from the time he was made, so she might remember making him and just has nothing to mention regarding it as she has no name to call him anyway, because he was the one who gave himself names and made someone tell Raiden his name. She and Miko are the only one's who have met him at his origin, which is an untouched memory. Again, we'll only know if Mr. Hoyo decides to be nice to us and shows it 😐

@amlightspeedy3090 it's not timeline. The irminsul alters everyone's memory of him, made scara like never existed in the first place. He deletes himself, but the things he did in the past remains the same, it still physically happened. In other words, the irminsul can changes history perspectives, not changes the past. Descenders like the traveller are the one who remembers

I feel weird when people call Nahida Wanderer's mom. I guess it's better than people shipping them but still it feels like most people can't even comprehend relationships that aren't explicitly defined. You don't need to be someone's mother, sister or lover to care about them. Two people can care about each other for a variety of reasons. Nahida and the Wanderer have a lot in common for them to connect with each other without it having to be about them performing certain roles. Also Nahida's story about truth is inspired by the story of the elephant and the blind men found in a multitude of eastern religions

Happy to know there are people in this fandom who do not see their relationship that way. I suppose people just like to simplify everything to family roles(which are actually not used when it comes to God-like creatures which both Wanderer and Nahida are). Personally, I think of them as… you know those people that just look each other in the eyes for a couple of seconds and they already have the plan and teamwork? Pretty much sure if Nahida need to make up a lie to gain smth, Wanderer just automatically will go “neat” and “i proofread it, she tells the truth, now tell us what she wants lol” Kinda like that, i suppose. They don’t necessarily have to call each other family of any sort (im sorry i cant call nahida who’s no older than him her mum or aunt sorry she’s a literal child), siblings etc etc - they already work well together and quite close. Maybe I think so because of their pasts, which are sort of mirrors to each other: both abandon, forgotten, used, hurt, just one turned to anger, the other turned to apathy? I think they definitely bonded off-screen and Nahida genially cares for Wanderer, while the latter may not want to acknowledge the same. As for why people use family terms… ehhh, maybe they just don’t know how to put what they think in words and refer to that with feelings and concepts? “oh yeah she’s just like that overbearing mum/sis/aunt/etc”? ps: I personally prefer to think of nahida and wanderer as siblings (in crime) than mum-son duo. pps: anyone who ships them, please leave this chat and dont reply. thanks.
