I’m new to fighting games in general can you explain this to me a little better? Are you saying if you throw a negative throw a move that gets you plus?

@@meechie9z I was speaking from experience of me playing fighterZ I don't play street fighter but I was just saying that when someon does a negative move and you try and take your turn they'll press a button and you would get counter hit

@@meechie9z moves that are meant to be plus (advantage on block or on hit) should be positive and moves that are negative (disadvantage on block or hit) should be negative. In SFV there are moves that appear to be negative that are actually plus and some moves that are supposed to be in your favor are not treated as such. There are many exploits that Daigo understands in this game and one of them is understanding that Guile has nearly no limits.

@@phurinkazan I think he puts the Sonic boom command in the middle of the Kick charged command, something like: 1(charge)-6punch-9kick

I think Punk is the only one who analyzes sets, Pink doesn’t really give a damn about any other tournaments besides the one he’s in.

I watch daigo's streams quite a lot and he was asked why he played against pugera and his answer was ''in his team none of the other players felt confident taking on bison so he had to go himself.'' after his loss against pugera bison CPT happened and Mochi dhalsim beat pugera, he actually 3-0'ed pugera so daigo thought maybe we should let mochi fight bison players. Then their match against Fav Z happened and daigo side was home side, tokido boxer was waiting at last match and daigo sent mochi to fight tokido but tokido then switched to urien and beat mochi so daigo thought ''I need to learn bison match up better so they dont pull this shit again.''. then daigo labbed bison a lot, he played against kokujin bison and many other bison players then daigo faced pugera once more and he beat him this time.

Because rog is bison. Bison, vega and balrog all had their names accidentally swaped in the english version of sf2 and america just stuck with it. So our balrog=m. Bison our bison=vega our vega=balrog. It makes more sense when you know the character is based on mike tyson since his name is mike bison. Its just a mistranslation that never got fixed

@@goldsage4722 It's not accidental. It was done to mitigate any legal actions for naming the boxer character M. Bison when it was in fact heavily inspired by Mike Tyson and Capcom didn't get any permission from him. Otherwise, yeah, the swapping of names was done as stated.

It's a controller that only uses buttons. You can pull certain things off that you can't with a normal controller

didnt know you could do down forward booms, i have played mostly Super Turbo and the booms dont come out if you not do forward only, so i got my mind stuck on that while playing SFV

Nah, the boom was just far enough to get the charge, that's all. It won't work point blank. I can do this on stick, but the charge has to be applied the instant the boom is thrown. Tbf that becomes second nature on Guile but is easier on hitbox for sure.

@@Khayde It works point blank for Light flashkick. If you input the punch for boom while down back, you'll get enough charge. And yes, it works on pad too. (not easy tho) db, f, db + punch, u + kick

a hitbox is essentially a keyboard

For a while I was playing SFV with a keyboard. Leave the hit box alone, or we may as well just have everyone everywhere play with the traditional arcade stick.

C.lk into sonic boom into flash kick is one of guiles oldest combos.

I watch a lot of fighting game videos and see alot of people hype Daigo but is he that dominant of a player? In the videos I have seen so far he typically loses in top 8 or something. I want to be educated.

@@RequiemOfSolo For movement, yes. Even a pad user loses a few dozen milliseconds every time they have to shift the analog stick. And it's not a question of "can I personally tell the difference", either-when it counts, why gamble? Simple example: Crossup shenanigans. Maybe you're barely fast enough to match the player's tricks, but add a little unnecessary delay and now maybe you're not.
