I used to study abroad at Nagoya Institute of Technology, and this street is where I relax on weekdays. Now that I have returned to China, I miss the days there very much. Thank you for your video for bringing me back to my life at that time.

I live in the north east of Scotland but my mother came from derby in the English Midlands. My sister loved to holiday there and spent a lot of time in Derby’s Eagle Centre. It was a combination large indoor market and shotengai. It was a collection of connected and covered over streets very like Osu but on a slightly smaller scale. She would have loved Osu apart from the language barrier as she had enough problems with her broad Scottish accent in an English setting.

Please tell your sister not to worry about her accent. Just enjoy Osu! Because regardless of the accent, most Japanese people don't understand English anyway. I believe hand gestures can be our international language! 😄

@@VSV_Japan the biggest problem is how to get the presents she bought for her many grandchildren home. We fought like cat and dog about filling the car up so full I could not see out the back window. The only thing we had in common was the many foods we could only get in Derby that could not be found in Scotland. The problem would be worse in Japan as there are even more different food stuffs to be had there.
