I have watched a dozen or so of videos with the Indian Dance Group MAYURI. This is a group of outstanding professional dancers; the choreography is of the highest level, intelligent, entertaining, and at the same time stylish. They are the jewel of the Republic of Karelia, of which I did not hear until I found them on KZread. Most importantly, they a jewel of the world. Thank you.

The choreography here is far better than the original - because the Indian dance is native Ryssian dance, brought to India in ancient times, that is why it is so natural for Russians. THANK YOU India for preserving the old tradition.

This lead girl is neither Indian nor Russian.. she is out of this world. The sway of her hands and body will make a Queen snake or any other Indian Nagina dancer shy away. I wish such exploration coninues for beautiful choergraphy from Mayuri group with real talent only to be made part of the team. There punch point is that all the dancers are equally graceful. You really feel you are seeing clones or their mirror images

Не очень люблю "Маюри", но Nagina у них поставлена бесподобно. Единственный танец, который лучше, чем в оригинале. Мне повезло увидеть воочию еще самую первую постановку этого танца, где солировала Вишакха. Ох, это было нечто! Уже больше 10-ти лет прошло, а я никак не могу забыть то выступление!

+Riya Ali Khan, дела давно минувших дней, преданья старины глубокой...Сидели мы бок-о-бок с Вишакхой на сегодняшней репетиции и радовались и поражались мастерству нового поколения Маюри. Для того, чтобы это поколение ТАК танцевало, нужно было 29 лет неустанной работы. Что же касается сравнения с оригиналами, то мы работаем в разных пространственных и временных категориях. Вот если бы кинозвезда вышла на сцену и станцевала подряд 5 минут, и не просто слегка покачивая бедром и не рассчитывая на свою популярность, плод которой гласит: не надо, чтоб танцевала, пусть стоит! ...тогда можно было бы сравнивать интенсивность движений, их оригинальность, эмоциональность исполнения, способность выдержать танец в одном ритме в течении нескольких минут (а не по 3-5 секунд во время съемки) и прочее прочее прочее. А так это пустой разговор. Смотрите то, что вам нравится. Оставьте мысли о тех, кто вам не нравится. Живите настоящим!

They are so good in choreography as that is in their blood.The world famous Bolshoi Ballet was founded in the 18th century. The choreography here is far better than the original. The synchronisation is mind blowing with the 'bin' music. How they got the ' bin' music so much extended ?

Jit Sengupta No one can beat Sri Devi’s grace. It probably doesn’t come naturally to them if it wasn’t choreographed. These are professional dancers versus all the effort it took to create that era in India. However these girls know what they’re doing, they even know the lyrics.

I think it's not the been, but I suspect Scottish bagpipes have been used to give a clearer but comparitive sound to the indian been. Love the dance
