Yes it is available in the jungle during season. Not planted or cultivate by farmers. It has many medicinal properties. Scientific name is Rhus Chinensis (In Dovipie Inn there are rooms named after several trees, birds, and fruits as well. So Tsomhu is one such room.)

Hello to you. I have been planning a ride to the North East for as long as I can remember. Would you guide me, please? I am from Delhi, planning to visit Meghalaya and the sisters in the first week of June 2023. Is it a good time? Do I need to register online before coming? What documents should I carry? On average what would be the daily accomodation cost in Meghalaya? Also, I want to know the place like a traveller and not a tourist 😃 Please share.

Assam and Meghalaya doesn't need any docs. Nagaland need ILP. I don't know about other states. June will be rainy though. You can find budget accommodation for around 1000-1500. All the best 👍🏻

The reason it is necessary for a guide is to let those guides earn some few bucks to put food on the table, hope you understand. Most people in the village struggle financially, please don’t misunderstand. 👍🏻 You’ll get to learn a lot more about the history and story in return.
