The Nadelgrat is one of the highlights of my mountain experiences. Four four-thousand-meter peaks ridden against each other and connected by an extremely beautiful ridge. Only the ice sheet below the Nadelhorn made me sweat a little.
The conical ridge of the Mischabel chain in the Valais Alps that descends from the Nadelhorn (4327 m above sea level) northwest to the Galenjoch is known as the Nadelgrat. From the Nadelhorn follow the Stecknadelhorn (4241 m), the Hohberghorn (4219 m above sea level) and the Dürrenhorn (4035 m). The ridge to the Lenzspitze (4294 m) to the southeast of the Nadelhorn is sometimes included in the Nadelgrat, but the Dürrenhorn is often left out during an ascent and descends directly from the Dürrenjoch (Dirrujoch, 3912 m, formerly known as Hohbergjoch) via the Windjoch.
Crossing the entire Nadelgrat is one of the most respected ridge tours in the Alps, not least because you are almost constantly moving above the four-thousand-meter limit.
A rope team led by Christian Klucker climbed from the Hohberghorn to the Lenzspitze as early as 1892 and descended from there to the Domhütte. Two years later, Alexander Burgener and Moriz Kuffner crossed the Nadelgrat from Lenzjoch to Dürrenhorn. In June 1916, Adrian Mazlam and Joseph Knubel were the first to complete the full traverse from the southeast, including the Lenzspitze and the northwestern Galengrat. [1] In the opposite direction, from the Dürrenhorn to the Nadelhorn, the ridge was crossed for the first time in October 1927, also by Joseph Knubel, this time accompanied by the cartographer Marcel Kurz.

Hallo. Cool das dir meine Filme gefallen! :) Ich befestige in der Regel meine Sony FDR-X3000 an meinem Helm mit der mitgelieferten Helmhalterung. Teilweise fime ich aber auch von Hand. Liebe Grüsse
Incorrect iceaxe technique. The pick should face bacwards. Then you can jab it into the snow to hold a fall.
