I think that is exactly what Nadal meant. He knows he always breaks the 25 second rule but he always gets away with it because the umpires don`t have the courage to enforce the rule against HIM. Many players have complained about it but tournament directors don`t want to annoy him by insisting on the same standards for all players. In this case Nadal insinuated that the umpire was against him because she is from the same country as Djokovic. For him it was not about the rules.

Nadal will always show his true colours when he is down and this incident is one more evidence of it. Swiatek said during the 2021 French open that when she had an opportunity to meet Nadal and griefed with him about his defeat, he had brushed it aside to claim that defeat is part of sport and he never took it seriously. Swiatek claimed she took this as an inspiration. But today if we look at Nadal's visage after the match, he was a picture of melancholy and looked so sullen and downcast over his loss. Even during the customary hand shake after the match, he exhibited unsportsmanship behaviour by half heartedly congratulating his opponent with a convulsed visage. This makes it unequivocal the total disconnect between Nadal's diplomatic statements and actions. He is patently dishonest and his actions speaks louder than words.

I find it unreasonable to keep the same 25 rule in current situation, which is totally different from the idea that inspired that particular number back in the days. They should add more time but the umpire can start the clock right away, hence no room for bias for everyone.

“You don’t know, baby”. Seriously Nadal? The umpire is not your baby. The umpire makes the rules. She decided when to start the 25 seconds. Both players have the same conditions.
