It just makes me sad that people live their whole lives waiting for love to come and still so many just pass away without an ounce of it. How I met your mother is truly a special TV series, keeping our faith in love, in the one, in robin's and ted's of our lives. I just hope she reaches me as fast as possible.

Nada Surf is the most underappreciated band of Gen X. I still got an autograph photo of them from 1996 hanging in the studio.

This song makes me reflect everything we prioritize in relation to our true happiness ... If you love someone, go after that person and tell them, be happy. If you haven't found love yet, it is coming as fast as it can.

When I first heard this song I was really young. Actually hadn’t even been in a relationship yet. I identified with it then. Now, nearly 20 years later, around the age Caws was when he wrote this, I’ve had bad breakups, felt deep distance in long relationships and have been through a lot. I identify with it EVEN MORE now. It’s not just about wanting to be in love, it’s about craving deep connection and acceptance while being in a place that has neither. And as we get older, we tend to value this more and more, whether or not we actually find it.

I remember first listening to this song on my dad's Ipod while on vacation. I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, and had a huge crush on a classmate. This song made me feel like I would never know what love felt like. It broke my 8-year-old heart that she didnt like me back. 20 years later, I wish I could go back in time and tell 8-year-old me that it would all work out. Though, I would give anything to listen to this song for the first time again.

This song makes me feel alive.

This song is my soul crying out to God, Chance, the Universe, whatever makes things move. All the romantic relationships I’ve had were with damaged women-I wish I had been more socially cognizant to see the signs. Same thing with just male friendships. Now whatever innocence I possessed before is gone, and at 40 it’s extremely difficult to ever get another chance. But my will, my drive, isn’t broken. I still want to learn how to be my best, except this time master it in such a way I can dodge all the cruelty in today’s world-2023 is filled with it. Thirty years ago I found myself in an impossible to make it work circumstance. I decided to go all out anyways. We'll celebrate our 30th not too long from now and I wake up every day grateful.

Still one of my all-time favorite non-emo band emo songs. I used to cry so much to this song in the depths of my loneliness. Thank god I'm past those days. They were painful.

What I love the most in this song is the correlation between the childish vote and being an adult. The lyrics are so simple that it feels like it's an innocent pure child singing discovering the world, he heard about love and is just curious to know what it is really about, what this beautiful magic thing that everyone talks about it! But it is actually a genuine optimist adult that is just looking for a way to find out what love really is! It's just so pure and I love the tone of the song, yes you'll be alright! :)
