I simply adore Miss Genaux. One of the fastest, controlled Mezzo's the world has ever seen and heard. What a gift she has. But it's distracting to see the way her mouth and lips work at times.

Bless her heart, no wonder she's a sweaty mess. Just because you can sing it that fast doensn't mean you should. Of course Ms. Genaux has a blazing, peerless, technique, but where is sweet happy Cinderella in this performance? It's as those she has a machine gun and isn't afraid to us it!

She’s right there on the screen. Don’t attach too much too it. Drama is meant for plays- opera is about the instrument. Also, you know that excited, energetic feeling you have in your stomach when you’re in love? Pretty good representation here. Stop comparing your interpretation to other’s. Be open minded.

@@chaserooface Yes! You articulated what I loved about what Vivica did here, and what I love about her voice. Her voice and the delivery it’s like those butterflies in the stomach and then they somehow make their way up the voice. So full of emotion, and honestly made me cry a little rewatching this
