I remember these songs when I was a little kid. when my parents ran NAC meeting. Now my dad has been gone for 7 years. When l look into my moms eyes I know she misses our dad and misses the meetings. I do too. Now when I travel anywhere I turn NAC songs on and I feel emotional and spiritual empowered and bless that I know my dad and my heavenly father it's looking over me and my people and family...

Get out those tapes, learn your dad's songs. He will be beside you and help you learn them. Get a little help and wrap those poles again. Don't let that die.

Hey I was justing reminiscing about the good old days when we had a very strong church fireplace. 2 really bad things happend & all were within 2 --4 months apart, which isn't enough time..... anyway One of our Elder Roadmen died, and the other Roadman was in a horrific accident leaveing him unable to run Church Services . So I haven't been able to go & sit up & pray since then really, because I was so sad & devastated. I am ready to go back to church. Do you know any roadmen near The SEATTLE, WASHINGTON AREA??? dont worry, I can just sit there on the sideline and pray. ?? Your music sounds great, Thanks for putting some of your songs up. Aho --------------------------------------

@@joshbegay1819 Thanks. We sing in vocables at our stompdances (I'm Chickasaw) but I've never eaten Peyote. I'd love to attend a ceremony someday as the music is beautiful and it's a great gathering of different tribes (Osage, Yuchi, Caddo, Cherokee), especially where I live in Oklahoma.

Many of the songs are comanche-kiowa songs, also some cheyenne & apache songs in there too! Many of the words used in straight songs, that people call "vocables" have meanings originating from the tribes of south Texas and northern Mexico where the medicine grows! Some common word are... yana-wana(spirit-waters) & hey-nay-yo-way(with all that i am) wayo (cry unto) in the Coahuiltecan language! Also witzen-iyo (to cast away bad) which is used in many straight songs and in the NAC opening chant, is of Tarahumarah origin and was used in their opening prayer song in their pre-NAC peyote ceremony!
