My wife and I are near retirement but we've never looked up our credit scores and quite frankly we don't care. We also don't use our credit cards to accumulate points. We just use our CCs when it's needed such as for online payments but at restaurants or retail stores I won't hesitate to pay cash. Our spending is definitely old school but it has worked for us

Same here in the US… it’s important to build up a credit history and maintain a good credit score. Just make sure you’re on top of things and wag parati ma late sa payments.

"I didn't know when to pay" has to be the best excuse I've heard. The monthly statement it tells you the balance you owe, date payment is due, and minimum payment required. Paying the minimum amount does not even begin to pay the interest on your balance all it does is keep the account active otherwise it goes to a collection agency. Going on vacation doesn't mean you can take a vacation from paying obligations. A bad credit score does not improve with a couple of payments made on time - it takes years of consistent good behaviour! You are correct a good number of new immigrants have not had exposure to credit cards - you can be assured they operate the same everywhere. On the other side you are now a preferred customer of the credit card company because they make nothing in fees and interest charges from people who pay in full and on time.

there are autopayments on credits now. many, not all. here's the lesson: pay whatever the amount is in the statement before due date to not accumulate interest. kung may credit card kang nag accumulate ng points for travel ehem cobalt ehem, baka makauwi ka pa sa pinas through points oops, nasabi ko na hehehehe

@@indianongbisdak i've been living here in Saskatchewan for a long time being debt free.. My advice to you visualize how you life would be if you are debt free then find your way going there. Kung may utang ka ngayon challenge yourself to do your best and get out of it.. nagawa ko yan so you can do it for sure.

Thanks for sharing your credit card experience. Lesson learned Kabayan, ajaw na pag otroja na mag more than sa max limit.

Ladies & Gentlemen the credit card is very important specially when travelling. First to build up your credit history you need to use ur credit card & pay on time. This is one of criterias if u buy property in Canada & U.S, Secondly when you travel some other countries they don’t accept cash while you are on the airport for layover.

ako may credit card rin na bayran ko na yung PC.Mastercard Financial at yung CIBC Costco Mastercard ko naman 2 hundred dollars nalang ang babayaraan ko at yung latest ko ay Walmart Reward Mastercard ay nasa 3.000 pa kaya as much as possible binabayaran ko talaga at pag may mga extra pa akong pera binabayaran ko agad instead na Babayaran ko yung minimum depende sa laki ng inutang mo lets say 35,00 dollars ang minimum instead binabayran ko ng 100. right away kasi kahit bayaran ko yan ng minimun mas malaki pa yung interest sa Minimum na babayran ko

Dito sa Canada, dapat tratuhin natin ang credit card na parang cash na sa katapusan ang kailangang bayaran ng buo. 22% kasi interest niyan mababaon ka talaga. Ang credit card ay magandang kagamitan para bumuo ng credit history mo sa Canada para sa huli ay makakakuha ka ng magandang interest rates sa car loan o mortgage.

I live in the Philippines working for a Canadian company remotely. I have zero loans. Credit cards paid in full every month. I own property too. I’m so surprised how hard it is to live in Canada. I didn’t expect it.

kaya mahalaga na may SMS at Email notifications para sa due's ng CCBill then set alarms 3-4 days before ng due date para maging on time sa payment. Live within your means talaga, minimize yung purchases for "wants" na hinde naman kaya pala bayaran within the month or magiging alangan sa future budget kahit 12 months to pay siya.

as you've said "hanggang kaya mo.." magbayad. if sinagad mo tapos di mo nman pala kaya bayaran, then its on you. kasalanan mo yan. lesson learned the hard way. based on your previous videos, parang andami mong maling decisions nagawa. from pagpunta jan sa canada, to pagiging student, etc... at ito na nman ang pag gamit ng credit card. ingat ka sa mga decision making sa buhay..

Its ok umutang (if you can get it)...... as long as you can pay it back on time....and/or without getting into a bad credit rating.... In fact credit card invention is a scam of modern times.

Ako ayaw ko ng credit cards, ayaw ko naman na may iisipin ang babayarin monthly. Mas enjoy ako pag cash ang hawak ko o magbabayad ako. At saka para sa akin may kontrol ko ang expenses ko without it. Yan ay sa akin lamang.

Lami kaau mangutang , pait ang bayad. Utang pa more.

Nangungutang ako noong nag-aaral pa mga bata kaliwa’t kanan. Ngayon sa cooperative na lang mababa pa interest may patronage refund pa yearly. Kinatatakutan kong utangan ang credit card bukod sa matindi ang interest matindi pa maningil ang mga agent nila

Helpful ang card but need jud disiplina. I opted for a cash back with 160 annual fee. Ang ako cash back alone makakuha ko 600 cad nya naa pa libre na travel and electronic device insurance

Mahirap mabaon sa utang dito sa Canada at 5-6 ang kalakaran tulad sa pag utang sa Pinas. Carry a small notebook and literally list down every money spent. Then pay your credit card each day as you use them. You’ll then get into the habit of paying on time. Someone with a 30k credit card debt took 3 years to pay it off even with a lot of discipline. If it’s not essential, don’t purchase. Lifestyle creep is real.

This type of video should not be shared. The dumbest financial thing you can do is to use a credit card. The best thing to do is pay in cash or debit card.

Kala ko milyon. Nasa pinas ako ma mamax ko na ung 1m na limit ko 22k per month for 5 years bigat. Sarap kasi mag cc. Lol.

Credit card delinquency is all too common amongst working professionals all over the world. Financial literacy should be taught to students while still at school so once they enter the work force, they are in control of their own finances and avoid monetary pitfalls in the future.

Depende nalang po siguro sa pangangailangan ng tao. But personally, i would say importante magkaroon ng credit card dito in a sense na kailangan mo mag build ng credit history at credit score.

Hindi sya amusement park bhaijaan! Park lang talaga sya. Na-amuse ka lang hahaha!

Pwede mo naman takbohan utang mo sa credit card. If thats what you’re asking po. Yun nga lang, ma bablacklist na pangalan mo and most likely d kana makakakuha ng credit card. Masisira pa credit score mo. And wala pong dagdag score ang paggamit ng credit card
