I watched your videos prior to visiting Naankuse this year for 2 months. It was one of the best experiences I have ever made! The people are awesome and the Namibian landscapes are beautiful. I think one can expect to have an awesome time, grow as an individual and calm down mentally. It's definitely worth it. I would do it again:) You get really close to all the animals and the people. I have seen every single one of the big 5 and you really work with all animals. It's a magical place, very rural, back to the roots and nature. I loved it. Some things I would have liked to know beforehand would be: You do work, but it feels more like planned out activities one must say. So if you really want to go somewhere were your work has a huge influence, I think this wouldn't be the perfect fit. But also if you go to a country a a wealthy European person, thinking of changing the world by it, you have to be aware that this won't be the case in most places. You just have to be okay with the fact, that the money you bring will add more value to the people and the animals, than the work you do (which also helps, but funding with the money you bring helps more). So you being there is a benefit to them, but you can't expect the benefit to mainly be your work... If you go during European summer: IT'S FREEZING!!! Don't forget it's winter there and bring warm clothes. At times the pipes were frozen, so we couldn't shower sometimes, I had to sleep with a beanie on and I wore ski socks at times ( I am from cold ass Switzerland, so one might think I am used to the cold;) Just because I'ts Africa, doesn't mean it's warm. Bare in mind haha. I would also recommend going to Neuras, everyone loved it there! It's more of a holiday but the landscapes are beautiful. Also Timbilah is so interesting and you will go on some adventures there. I wish everyone an awesome time, magical bonfire nights, a good tent (take a farm tent!!), windy truck rides, dirty baboon walks, and days filled with adventures and memories. Naankuse will forever hold a special place in my heart

Amazing video, the drone footage really puts things more into perspective. You're right that a clear visual overview was missing, as I felt my stay down there was beyond my expectations from what was on the website. I have to point out how incredibly lucky you were to see the trio of elephants that close, that's the true adventure of safari!

@@laurarakauskaite5643 Quick question. I'm going there in October and I'm struggling with the packing situation. Do people bring suitcases or just backpacks bcs a backpack is not enough for 1 month for me. But I feel like a bigger suitcase might be inappropriate

Hello, I can't find any information about their prices. Could you tell me what 3 weeks would cost and what it includes, bcs I'm interested in doing volunteer work but some sanctuaries are to pricey for me

Hi! Old volunteer speaking here. It really depends from where you book it, but volunteer work is gonna be pricey…. 3 weeks is gonna cost around €1000 I think. But, absoluutst worth it! Naan kuse is one of the fancier places you could go, they arrange a lot for you. Pick up from the airport, drives to town every Sunday, 3 meals a day which two of are hot meals (also stuff for vegans and vegetarians) and 2 activity’s a day. Accommodation is either in a ‘luxurious’ tent (normal beds) or in a cabin. Both really good! Hope this helped you a bit :)

@@nxlee. ahh how nice!! Have fun!! 👏🏻🙌🏼 and no that’s fine! I had a backpack with me but quite a lot of people came with suitcases. In the end you won’t use most of your clothes though bc you get t-shirts from the organization and then wear like 2 shorts a week haha. Also can’t wash everyday, so in the end you just wear your stuff more days, gonna get gross anyways 😊
