I do agree I never skip the draft, it sets the pace and expectations toward the game to come. Most Pro players have heroes they are known for playing. Seeing them in the draft is exciting.

brand new Na'vi fan having watched TI3. I'm also a new fan of Orange and Dignitas. No criticisms of Alliance for their win, it was a fantastic game.

While I don't necessarily agree with Wolt87, the 2.6 mil is the prize pool, meaning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes come from it. The first prize is about 1.3m right now.

I think if you were given a choice between 60 minutes of fun or 2.4 million, you go with the money. You cant blame people for playing a more boring type of game when dealing with this amount of money.

Indeed. Most, if not all pro players are result-oriented. Winning is everything. Especially if a lot of money and fame is on the line. Also, "new strategy" only comes when the drafter wants surprise element in the game, which will make them have a better chance of winning. Want to play fun game? Go pub stomp, or scrim. Tourneys are money. It's their job to win.

Exciting games depending on which heroes are picked. This game for example Na'Vi got the right pick to just bash the crap out of LGD who is also a team that isn't much of an early game team unless they get a huge advantage from an enemy team's mistake.

The cause of many of the kills were also dendi getting his pudge which is an amazing heroes in the right hands. Frankly I think calling split pushing rat doto is a bit silly. I just recently started Dota and all that blame for split pushing from Na'Vi fans actually gives a bad image of the time like any overzealous fandom. Dendi Pudge will still be more entertaining than AdmiralBulldog playing split push. Na'Vi may have lost the cash, but they won the hearts of thousands. Do you know how much Alliance is getting bashed on for winning with rat doto? To be fair however, Na'Vi makes mistake, and to quote Syderen, "The strongest team is the team that makes the least mistakes." Which is Alliance, but I'll watch a Na'Vi game over an Alliance game any day.

alliance are decent. And yes they have good strategies and skills, but what have they won since ti? Navi won a number of big tournaments, dreamhack, Starladder etc. Navi is the best team imo bc they pull off strategies no-1 thinks off... they are innovators. and to me; they were better than alliance in game 5 of the ti-3 final. Dendi WAS the best player in that match. Rat-dota and silly mistakes is what cost navi the game...

Na Vi is the team of great players it's entertained to watch them play their games i dont care if they win or not they always come with new strategy, unique style and creating draft unlike others which always got only the SAME SAME HEROES BORING SHIT in every matches

This dendi pudge... they didnt touch pudge for the entire prelim, and on their last game the take it and absolutely rape the other team, they created soooo much room for XBOCT to farm... and now, as orange in the next round, what the fuck do you ban? how do you prepare for them? they just absolutely mindfucked every single team on the international. Fear factor for navi is just insane now.
