what he meant was you cant act like you're the specialist of both rom hacks AND kirby, granted he's dabbled in a few videos, but they're not his "thing", so he cant say that Gilly is ripping him off. in any case besides for the fact that the clip was done for humor sake, i dont think anybody has a right to claim the niche of rom hacks as their own thing, just like with video games on the whole, we are individuals and have a right to our own opinions of them, and if we feel like posting it on youtube, we should have every right to do so without harassment.

the problem is there isnt that many ppl who love the OG Smash game that much to where we want to hack it, meanwhile Brawl and Melee has a huge fanbase, more for the former than the latter but still pretty big. another issue is that the OG Smash is more Couch Co-Op oldschool play, while the other games in the series have (or had at one point) online servers for worldwide Smashing fun.

Dude, Gilly, do you like Super Mario RPG? Please consider doing the Super Mario RPG Romhacks. Armageddon is amazing (you even fight final fantasy super bosses, and catch Pokemon!). Legend of The Axem Rangers, and Bob-Omb Mafia is awesome. Reserve_22 is short, but great! C'mon, my dude. Nobody covers these. They're fantastic content additions.

i for one LOVE SMRPG, i just wish there were more hacks of it and that the hacks were better, personally i dont have Armageddon as i didnt know it existed, i only have LotAR, BOM and the Hard Type known as Revolution. nothing against Reserve_22 but i just dont deal in non-meaty hacks... but this Armageddon hack you mention has me searching for it now. oh and since you're a fan i do wanna tell you i plan on making a hack that is a full blown sequel to SMRPG, new Bosses, more Cameos from both Nintendo AND Square, More Playable Characters (if possible as i am not a coder, i can only mess with the Lazy Shell game editor.) More Stages and Level Cap increased to 99 rather than the OG 30, as i wanna make the game as MEATY as i can, though i will lower the cap back down to 50 if i think that 49 levels would be wasted in a mindless grindfest.

I think there's a mod for Goldeneye that alows you to play it on PC with normal PC FPS controls (IE mouse and keyboard) and at a much smoother framerate. It seems like some people play it, and the Goldfinger mod, that way.

Smash Remix has been updated with 6 new characters

I was like, " Ofc he's gonna say Mario" and when you said Zelda I immediately perked up, liked this video, and subscribed. I don't trust them Mario-lovers.

Goldeneye X is a mod of goldeneye in perfect darks engine. It has more MP levels, characters, weapons and its MP mode has Bots so yeah it's legit. I wish more people knew about it.

I wanted to give you a friendly correction and say that LoZ Dawn and Dusk is a fan made Nintendo 64 Disc Drive expansion much like Ura Zelda rather than a full rom hack. 👀 Edit: Also for another one to do with Mark Kurko's Outset Island hack for BK. Banjo's Backpack (the level importing software used) doesn't allow for you to create custom credit sequences. That was simply a limitation of what is available. 👀

main priority for next smash remix update is adding an expanded character select screen. it seems they are shooting for the next release by end of october

Crazy how little smash remix had back then, now the roster is pretty decent size tbh. Surprised it runs well on the N64.

The cappy mod let's you do an odyssey dive in the air, so it is viable for platforming

It gets better with Smash Remix. Apparently, there's a newer version of the mod (0.9) that brings back Mario, Falcon, Fox, and Link, in addition to the swaps, meaning we get 16 characters, now.

For the Zelda Dawn and Dusk one, it make sense that the final boss is just a pallet swap. Kinda hard to add a completely new and original boss into the rom hack.

You should play msu1 hacks for the snes its amazing if gives you the ability to add custom music the og team got it working on a sdtosnes adapter i took it 2 steps more got it working on adroid and on a modded ps3

The part about the overworld feeling like a dungeon in that OoT hack, Skyward Sword did that as well, so hey just saying it's not like the official devs didn't also have that idea.

Cappy CAN be used as a platforming tool. You weren't using It right. When you throw the cap, ground pound and then dive directly after to jump toward and bounce off of the cap. It can be used to make insane jumps, I played the entire game and skipped so many things with just the cap bounce mechanic combined with long jumps.

Appreciate your honesty about Banjo 2, I was dumbfounded at both the design choices in that game, and the ostensibly positive reception and reputation it has. It was simply very tedious, and not fun. It suffered from many of the same issues as DK64, but was also this weird grab bag of gameplay styles that had nothing to do with platforming on top of that. I remember finishing some weird tank level early on and feeling completely uninterested in seeing what was next.

I'll grant you not talking about SM64 Star Road since, come on, that's low hanging fruit. However, I would've loved if you talked about Super Zelda 64. Awesome open world approach to Mario, great upgrade system reminiscent of Mega Man X, and when I got to the top of "Ganon's" Tower...let's just say I laughed out loud.

it may be Low-Hanging Fruit, but that's not to say that Star Road isnt a tasty little fruit, hard not to talk about such a well made and beloved game like that. not to mention that soon the sequel will be upon us, long as Skelux doesnt die or Nintendo comes in with a megaton hammer of Cease & Desist before then.

@@DessertArbiter sadly no, as the game is too big to register on a N64, a modded N64 MAY be able to, but as is it's just too big and too awesome for the N64 of 1990's.

it's fine in any case, i wouldnt play Star Road everyday of the week, so emulation on PC works for me.

The reason dorycan't be controlled is most likely dory is more like a moving platform than an npc
