5095 and 5105 have 16 vs 24 execution units but show the same FPS. Moreover, N95 shows the same results on a new architecture. So I suppose the bottleneck is RAM, that's why N100 shows significally better results with DDR5, even with a single channel. 5095 and 5105 could show better results with a second RAM stick, as they support dual channel, unlike N95 and N100.

That is the only difference I can see, the lower end models just didn't have as many working execution units when they came out of the oven. The n95 and n100 (and the n305 and up) are all the same silicon, they bin them and fuse off bad cores. On the n95 they even boost the clock on the execution units. I think this is why Intel has such compelling low end chips. AMD chunks them up into chiplets and is able to reassemble them into higher end products. (Yes Intel does this with newer processes.) Enjoy this golden age of the mini PC, quite a lot of value in the cast off monolithics.

Excited to see a review on the N100 vs N200 vs N300 as well. Great content! The N100 is really good considering it just uses a TDP of 6w, the lowest TDP any modern intel desktop chip which is really great for less power consumption and less electricity bill costs at a decent performance compared to what we have on low powered chips just a few years ago.

Unless budget restricts, the N100 is the only one to consider going forward. So much so that think that machines built with the N5095, N5105 and even N95 will see massive reductions soon because they will languish in stock piles as the N100 will clear up in this X86/64 sector of the market.

I'm wondering about the number of families that could definitely benefit from having even the lowest spec of mini pc. The interesting thing is that ALL of these machines are an upgrade for the regular user. I'm not talking about the gamers, but those that need a computer to check the internet, news, order from Amazon, and things like that. They'd clear up a ton of space moving from full desktop, and also lower power usage dramatically.

Hi, if its not for new tech or Space constraints, i'd recommend looking at refurbished hp or lenovo Mini PCs / sff. You can get complete ones with i5 or even i7 cpus, cheap upgrade the ram and for larger ones even PCI-ex slots to throw in a low profile gpu for en/decoding. Anywhere from 100 to 250 bucks, where you also end up with a new minipc..The Power consumption will be a bit higher, but you wont run into tdp or cooling limits.

What’s crazy about the n100 is that it was running HL2 at like 100fps… when that game launched, even the top of the line GPU (like the Radeon 9800XT) wasn’t hitting 100fps with all the effects of the day. On a 6W TDP to boot… just mind blowing how efficient these things are and how much raw power the produce relative to their power draw. I have a AMD-10 6800k CPU that is from 2012 and it’s struggling with KZread and video playback… so just picked up a N100 mini Pc to replace the aging hardware to do pretty much day to day tasks, and while drawing significantly less wattage. The A10 chip has a TDP of 100watts… to me the efficiency is insane.

The n100 has many more execution cores on the GPU. It also doesn't need as much power.

Why is n305 8 core cpu is costly and less device available Why don't have any mini pc with n305

Simply put, the added cost isn't worth the small amount of performance gained with the 305.
