Nü RYTHMO SURF MUSIC MOVIE MAGIC WEST AFRICA
Rumour and research led Michael February to a small fishing town, a mythical wave, and the hypnotic music of West Africa. As the songs of fisherman fill the backing track we record the rhythm of local musicians, and the dancers that work magic within it. A world away, where rhythm can ease the tensions of real life, we witness the pure joy of a lone surfer laying down a groove on an endless wave.

This region of West Senegal is facing an urgent climate crisis - rising sea level, shoreline erosion and pollution. Not only should we be celebrating the magic of Mike February but helping our brothers and sisters of surf in this rapidly changing ecosystem.

Always remember learning to boogie in Free Town Sierra Leone 1989-90 - 7 yrs old Its where I fell in love w/ the Ocean. Waves not as good as this location, but vibe is unmistakable. Great surfing, edit and waves!
