Noorondu swami madam is located in Krishnagiri district and 26km away from anchetty forest. In this madam any one can stay and have free food offer by devotees.

Sri Noorondhu swamy betta (hill) and temple situated close to the border between Tamil nadu and Karnataka in India. Though a village of Tamilnadu the villagers are Kannadigas.
Three places are related to the Swamy. One, a mutt in the village as admin centre functioning for twelve generations, where the priest and others reside. Second, the Swamy’s tomb and the third is the place where the swamy lived, the temple a few kms away.
In Kannada language , Noorondhu is .. Nooru (100)+ ondhu(1) meaning .. Hundred and one..
The story goes like this..
when a congregation of devotees visited the swamy , the later provided them all with variety of eatables in plenty but still one portion of the food left in the pot that he had in the end. So this 100 plus one -‘Noorondhu’ name given to the swamy!
This village mutt has the samadhi (tomb) of Sri Noorondhu swamy who lived few centuries ago along with his other disciples.The place is getting renovated
